They were very busy and didn't know how to handle the business they had. First we entered with our party and there was a wait which for good food and on a Friday night, we expect there will be a wait. When I table was available for us with our party of five, they attempted to sit us at a four top and there was no way that would work. So we waited for the next size table that would work for us 5. Once we got sat it took a minute to get our drink order but again we understood that. By the time our entire group was ready to order, then we began our hour wait for our food. Drink refills, chips refills and just overall basics like enough straws and bowls for our cheese dip was never provided. We had several different folks stop around the 45 min to 60 min mark, to ask if we needed anything. Then we continued to tell them we were still waiting for our food. We watched several tables with similar party sizes get their food before us. Finally, we figured for the entire wait the food was going to be fantastic and hot and worth the wait. We were sadly mistaken. Every meal delivered to us was either flavorless or the meat was dry. The beans were burnt tasting like they were scorched and everything just wasn't good and hot we would hope to of had. We did not finish our meals needless to say and when we finally were had enough of the food we asked for the check. My wife ate no more than 5 bites of her food and when the waitress returned I know she saw we didn't finish our food and we declined the boxes to take the food and never once asked if anything was wrong. $60 later when my wife, 9 years old, and myself, we most definitely will not be back. I usually give places several opportunities and I would hope to think, they had a bad night. But maybe after the new wares off, we may give it a shot. But as of now, we don't plan on...
Read moreI don't know why anyone would give this place even one star. First of all when we got there we had to wait, for a seat which is understandable because it was a Saturday night. But they seated a lot of people before us. I don't know if those people had reservations or what. But we finally got seated a party of 5. It took them over 15 minutes to get us chips and Salsa. We had no drinks no one came to even acknowledge that we were there except for the person that delivered the chips in salsa. Finally at about 30 minutes in someone came over to take our drink order, After that it was another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. Waiting for someone to take our order was another 15 minutes. We had no waitress even acknowledged that we were there. We didn't even know who was our waitress because we never saw that person until about 45 minutes in. Well she finally showed up and took our order. And that took about another 30 minutes before we got our food mind you it was not that busy when we got our food. The place was about empty before we even got our food. And when we got the food it was awful! The waiter said the plates were hot they were not hot! Is barely warm. My husband's taco salad tasted like salt pure salt! My daughter's burrito was the same. And my son-in-law's spinach enchiladas he said they were almost too salty to eat. My bean burrito on the other hand was not good at all it tasted like the beans have sugar in them that's not a good thing. Tortilla was cold so that didn't taste good either, The cheese that was over the tortilla was good but that was about it. I would not recommend this place to anyone that wanted to have authentic Mexican food unless, you like salt. However, We will not be back to this...
Read moreI have never met a better bunch of people than I have met at La Bamba in Benton Arkansas from the first time they did the trial run opening their doors until today as well. I can’t stay away from them. They have been courteous and kind to me every time I come in Sometimes you have to wait but that’s because the food is so good and there’s so many people that are waiting on food and that’s a good thing especially for a authentic Mexican restaurant I love Hispanic food I like the real food. I don’t like going through drive-through and this place is worth the wait if you ever have time and you’re in Benton Arkansas you should stop at La Bamba‘s and give it a try I’ve never had any burnt food. I’ve never had food that was uncooked. I’ve never had service that was not pleasant and kind. They try their best to get your order correctly and if they can’t understand what most of them do they’ll find someone to help. The owners are very sweet young couple they would do anything for you just like the servers and waitress and those that even bust the table will do what they can for you. They are a very nice nice group of people and I pray that they stay around forever as long as I can because they’re the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever ate at and that’s staying a lot for me so much that I live there practically when you go there just tell Rhonda sent you. They’ll give you...
