(3.5) The food is tasty but don’t expect (as I did) a real Cajun restaurant. They basically took a food truck and moved it inside the brewery. No table service is one thing but no counter service either is odd. Cajun food and culture is about community, you don’t get any of that from a web based ordering system. Full disclosure, my family is from Louisiana and I’m probably harder on Cajun restaurants than most in NWA. My go to item when trying a new Cajun restaurant is their gumbo, it says all you need to know about their Cajun cred. Unfortunately no gumbo on NOLA’s menu, or étouffée or even jambalaya. Burgers seem to be the focus, while not exactly Cajun they are quite good. The muffuletta was a miss thou a tasty sandwich, it didn’t resemble a real muffuletta, especially the olive mix. The red beans and rice weren’t bad and the boudin egg rolls were a clever appetizer. For what it is NOLA is a great little place to grab a bite while enjoying a beer. Read moreKiosk or online ordering only. Use online and get texted. With the kiosk there is no communication of when food is ready. Food took forever to be ready. They ran out of French fries before 1 pm on a Saturday.
Edited to reply to owner: My boyfriend placed the order and said there wasn’t an option at the kiosk to be texted. He placed the order and waited at least 20 mins and realized there was no counter communication. He then changed the order to a to go order and waited again.
I didn’t realize fries weren’t on the menu. Tots are. I was looking forward to fries and a burger.
The burger was a little burned. The flavors were good. Food was satisfying but our first experience wasn’t great. We may try it again because we really like the brewery. Hope it’s better next time and service improves. At least we know now to use the online system...

The muffuletta was really, really good. It wasn't hot and super greasy like the ones a lot of places outside of LA serve (I grew up in louisiana) but it's authentic to what you'd actually find in NOLA. And it was really, really good.
The shrimp and grits were absolutely off the charts. Best shrimp and grits I've had -- shrimp were cooked to perfection and were really flavorful and little bits of bacon in the slightly cheesy grits... it was stellar.
The bread pudding is my wife's favorite (but normally not mine) so we had to try that. To my surprise, it was also really good. Different than what I'm used to (which is a good thing).
I look forward to trying the burgers and totchos and other stuff they've got next time. We’ll...
