I love this place! Finally after years of wanting to come here the stars aligned and I made it! And I was not disappointed! The vibe first and foremost is what you dream your local pizza shop is. The out door seating is amazing and they also have indoor seating. They had a band playing beautiful bluesy jazz and it really just sets the vibe. The line is long but honestly not that long. Also the line never gets short! I like that. It means what they are serving is the best! If you go with friends head into the next door affiliated market with an extensive cheese list, coffee, dips, and bread! I mean you can’t help but not get something from the store. They serve one pizza a day and generally are vegetarian which is lucky for me! The pizza had small slivers of broccoli, lemon zest, garlic and probably a few more ingredients that I am forgetting. AMAZING Stuff! They also have there delicious secret sauce that I wish I could get shipped to my front door. So spicy so flavorful I just had to buy some to go home with! They have beer and sodas to choose from. Can’t go wrong with a classic mexi coke in a glass bottle. This girl is a happy customer!!! Thank you cheeseboard for your delicious pizza and excellent service!!! I forgot to mention the staff is super friendly and nice! Wish I could give them 10 stars. Cheers!

Easily one of the best pizzas that I have tasted… period!!!. Need to say anymore 😬. This pizzeria is located in Berkeley. I went on a Saturday evening. They are open from 5 pm - 8pm / until pizzas are over ( whichever is earlier). They only make one kind of pizza everyday. They are all vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. For the vegetarian ones we can order by slice or half a pizza or a full one. I ordered a half pizza. They also have a dynamite tasting green spicy sauce which is a must buy on the side. I think the green sauce has serrano chillies, green onion garlic ( I think.. not sure). They publish the menu for the whole week at a time in their website. I went there 20 minutes in advance and so had a reasonable long queue in front of me. In the time I was standing in the queue there were around 50-75 people who came and stood behind me. So BE PREPARED to wait in line if you come after 5 pm. There is no space inside to eat. There are a few benches and tables outside for eating. The pizza crust is very then and crispy. The day I went, they made the mushroom and chippelini onion pizza with garlic mozzarella Parmesan and green pesto. I also got the green spicy sauce to go. The portion size is filling for one easily if you get a half pizza. I will definitely come here again for sure.

Cheeseboard pizza is one of the unique pizzerias with fantastic tasting pizzas. I've had fortune of being a regular customer here. The taste and quality of the pizza talks for itself. Every day a new flavour of pizza is served. The flavor of the day can be checked on their website before you can make a trip to the location. In my opinion, all the flavours are crafted very well to provide a mouth watering experience that leaves one with a satisfied feeling in the belly. Their pizzas are especially helpful when you have an "Hangry" spouse or kid you desperately need to calm down. They also provide a salsa dip for their pizzas which is nothing short of lip smackingly tasty to say the least. Parking spots are right outside the shop which are rarely empty. There is seating inside and on the sidewalk. They usually have very good live music performances in the evenings. They are super popular and the queue lines attest to this statement. They usually extend upto the closest street corner. However, I've never had to wait more than 15-20 mins to get a pizza due to their super fast and excellent service. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Cheeseboard to all pizza lovers and non lovers without reservations.

I went here constantly while at UC Berkeley. These days it's still solid - great daily pizza, always delicious and high quality. Just some gripes: - Why offer vegan and gluten-free? I respect the veggie-only one-item menu. Catering to these niche group of eaters annoys me, as it adds unnecessary complexity. I guess it is the Bay, so such political decisions are expected. But if you can't eat cheese or bread, how can you expect to eat gourmet pizza? - Vagrants and homeless disturbing the line. Again, it's the Bay, so it's hard to imagine anything done about this, but why can't workers politely ask people to move along if they're (even mildly) disturbing customers? - Seating inside. There wasn't any on the day I was there, tho plenty of space for it. Instead the three-piece band got all the space (and used but a fraction of it). What's up with that? Indoor dining in cool weather is a great feature that wasn't even possible back in the day - why not use it? - Opening hours: only 12 hours a week?? Seriously?! What happened to lunch?

Our Ethiopian friend LOVES this place so much. Whenever he comes to visit Berkeley, he has to come to this place. I live here in Berkeley, whenever I drive through this place, I give up! Tonight our friend who is a runner in Ethiopia invited us...Com'on...Let's walk and eat pizza. Holy Jesus! It is one of the best pizza I have ever had! The basil sauce (the green sauce) hits me right back to my childhood. It is basically Thai seafood sauce that we eat back home! Same exactly taste and balance, the lime juice and basil.....dip in with pizza! How genius is this? I am glad I wait in the line for an half hour. (There were about 50 people in front of us.) They are so quick! Only ONE pizza menu a day! How smart is this! They open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until runs out. Be sure to be there early because of the long line. Always the long line, but they move quickly.. Restroom is available. Parklet is a nice size. If you are vegetarian, this is your place!

Amazing pizza. I was surprised by how good it was. I've had pizza all over the country and as a New Yorker it was pretty refreshing to have pizza that was different from what I believe to be true and good pizza. For me, that's a plain thin crust pizza, no toppings so you can enjoy the main ingredients - tomato sauce, cheese, and the dough. At the Cheeseboard, we're talking about pizza with no tomato sauce topped with potatoes, red onions, garlic and cheese, grilled on top of a flat top as soon as it comes out of the oven! Then you top that with the pappi chulo sauce, which is a cilantro cream/oil sauce. The combination of ingredients and method of cooking the pizza is definitely a departure from what I know to be my thought on good pizza, but it works and it tastes great. Highly recommended. Note: there is only one type of pizza served daily and it's not served everyday. The pizzas change as the fresh northern Californian produce available to the Cheeseboard changes.
