My 3 star review is specifically relating to my experience at restaurant. The food was wonderful and majority of the staff were very kind. This review is regarding my interaction with the guy taking orders at the counter on Saturday, July 27th @ around 1030am.
After waiting in line for about 30 minutes my friend and I placed our order at the counter and the guy taking orders said there weren't any seats inside and asked if we were okay sitting outside. I said we prefer to sit inside, but would sit outside if that was the only option. He said okay. He did not offer us the option to wait for a table inside. Maybe 2 minutes later while we were grabbing our utensils and water, a table opened up inside. We asked the gentlemen cleaning the table if we could sit there and they said yes and that they would clean the table for us. As we sit down, the guy who took our order comes from behind the counter, walks over to me and says "I'm going to let you sit here this time, but next time if I ask you if you want to sit inside or outside you have to sit where you said."
We ended up going back and forth about the fact that his coworker told us we could sit at the table inside. Apparently, this guy had also offered the table we were at to the couple behind us, but of course we didn't get that offer. Why is that? We should have been given the option to wait for a table to open up inside the same way everyone else behind us did. We would have waited if we knew it was an option.
Finally, this guy then proceeded to scold the staff in front of customers for offering us the table. Completely unprofessional. It's small inside so you can hear everything he was saying. There's never a point where this guy should have come up to a customer the way he did. Also, he could have saved his conversation with the staff for after hours.
I apologized to the gentlemen that originally offered us the table for their coworker's behavior because it was uncalled for. The other staff at this location were amazing and didn't deserve to be talked at. It's a learning moment, not the end of the world.
This was my first time visiting this place and, aside from the food, it didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. They obviously need to work through how they communicate, not only with one another, but especially to customers.
I still think it's worth visiting for the food. Hopefully you won't have to interact with the...
Read moreCame here for breakfast after graduation with a group of twelve and spent around $310. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing—an order got messed up, and the staff made excuses and didn’t take any responsibility for it. Overall, the service was just not great.
From the start, the vibe felt a little off. The manager told us we had to order at the counter before sitting down, which felt a bit weird for a place that looks and prices itself like a full-service restaurant, but we went along with it. My dad clearly asked for a dish with sunny side up eggs, and the manager confirmed it. So far, so good.
But when the food came, it was poached. Mistakes happen in any kitchen, but what made it worse was how it was handled. When we brought it up, the waiter called over the same manager, who then insisted that’s what my dad ordered. It wasn’t. Instead of just fixing it, he got defensive and made things awkward.
We asked nicely if they could just replace only the egg. The manager said he could bring another one over so we could eat “comfortably” at our table—but we’d have to pay for it after. He literally said, “We’re not making any money on these eggs.”
Really?
Telling a customer that, especially when they’re just asking for what they originally ordered, is not only unprofessional—it’s kind of ridiculous. Every business has costs, but those shouldn’t be dumped on the customer. One egg isn't worth souring the whole experience, especially after spending over $300 there.
My dad let it go because he didn’t want to make a scene, but honestly, he shouldn’t have had to. Not a great way to end what should have been a...
Read moreGive these workers a raise, all of them. They were hustling and when I mean hustling I mean not one person was sitting down or goofing around these employees where on their A game cooking, bussing tables, taking order, cleaning tables, serving, clean dishes you name it they were on it.
We came here at my cousin's graduation. The food looked really good from reviews, so we waited in the line, but man was that line looooooonnnng good 1hr ½ waiting in line on a Sunday. I figured it since it was sunday and graduations were going on every place was going to have a wait time so we just waited it out and it was worth it. The food was packed with flavor. The fries with the garlic and fresh parm... chefs kiss. Everyone's food came out hot and was delicious. The drinks were on point too. The music was a little too loud for me, but totally understandable, like if I was working rush hour I would want music blasting that loud to get me through. But it was a little hard to hear the people at my table. Over all the food is amazing everyone loved it. Would highly recommend. 10/10 If your ever in town this is a great brunch spot. I believe their hours are 8-3pm.
In door and out door seating is available and bathrooms are in the shopping alley next door code is 0008 unless they change it anytime soon.
All the staff was friendly and...
