The first time I tried this place, I ordered online. I couldn't believe how great it was. The food was actually hot when we opened it. It was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito. The second time, we wanted to try it in-person. Unfortunately, it wasn't as great of an experience, but the food was still good. They definitely need to work out a better system for orders and people waiting to get their food. We ordered the same thing but my burrito wasn't prepared the same way so that was a bit disappointing. The burrito comes with sour cream, salsa and guac, but they put the salsa on the plate which led to the burrito getting soggy at the bottom from the salsa. I would recommend they use plastic sauce cups for dishes like that. We also ordered pancakes and through the middle of our meal the staff person asked us if we were done with the syrup container because the couple behind us needed it. I would recommend buying more syrup containers or giving customers packets of syrup as opposed to having just one syrup container to go around the entire restaurant. I decided to give it a third try in-person and that was again, not great. I ordered an egg croissant. My eggs were supposed to be fried, over easy, but they were definitely cooked through and the croissant tasted more like bread than croissant. I would highly recommend for them to find a different bakery supplier as that did not resemble a croissant at all and I was extremely disappointed. Coffee was good all around. They have a free water pitcher which was nice.
I would definitely order from this place, but only online moving forward, as they seem to be much better at that.
The atmosphere is family friendly. They have a small outside seating area. Staff are friendly. I really like their food, but the restaurant needs to be...
Read moreQuaint, new breakfast place. It is not an extensive menu, but that generally leads to fresher food. It's not a greasy spoon. Order at the counter and seat yourself. My initial impression is that the food is fresh and well prepared, and the food comes out immediately. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and local art for sale on the walls. I had eggs over easy with bacon & sausage. I will definitely be back to tempt the Tot Bowls. The Cinnamon rolls look insane, I'll have to try that another time.
UPDATE: Sadie's Sunrise is, quite frankly, my favorite local breakfast & lunch place. I've been searching lately for a good Reuben, and it dawned on me to try Sadie's. They provide a Prastrami or Turkey Reuben. The bread is grilled to perfection, and the kraut / pastrami / Russian dressing ratio is perfect. The chef knows what he's doing. I'll be trying all the various pastries soon. Sadie's seems to be elevating from a highly recommend to a must....we shall see after a try more. Not sure I can get past the Reuben Scrambler / egg plate / Pastrami Reuben sandwich, but I'll try to resist on my next visit. UPDATE 12.14.24 I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sando..I add mushrooms. Excellent. Sadies, at this point, is a must if you're looking for a great...
Read moreOur first visit to Sadie's and we can't wait to go back. The food was delicious. The staff was helpful, friendly, and made our first time there special. I got one of the seasonal soups, strawberry mint. It was a nice portion, refreshing, and the strawberry mint flavors were well balanced against the yogurt in the soup. We also tried the ricotta toast. This was also delicious. It is kn multi-grain bread with a lovely floral honey and chopped pistachios. The only thing we chose to do was add a little sprinkle of salt. My husband got the steak and eggs potato tot bowl. That was fantastic. Steak tips were tender. The horseradish drizzle brought this dish to another level. I can not say enough good things about Sadie's. We absolutely agree with the 4.7 star rating they hold on google. This place is on our must go list of breakfast and lunch...
