Zack's Burgers and Shakes — Restaurant in Berlin

Went here the other night to pick up some burgers and fries to go. The staff was quick & friendly to greet me and get me in & out quickly. The food was good, and prices were reasonable. I ordered the Shroom Burger, and I did see it comes with a "House Sauce", but I didn't realize that the house sauce is Mustard! I suppose it is partially my bad for not asking what the sauce is, but figured it was probably some sort of secret recipe. I never imagined even for a moment it would be loaded with mustard. I wiped off of much of it as I could, and it made it much better. I will probably get food from here again but will definitely order without the "House Sauce"/mustard. Mustard on a burger is a little odd to me, but on a mushroom Swiss burger... Crazy talk! French fries and Sweet Potato fries were good, as was the milkshake... Update (4/13/2023): Finally returned here and ordered a Mushroom Swiss Double Burger without the House Sauce/Mustard and it was good. The Crispy Fries were crispy and tasty. The burgers and fries were nice and hot. I had the Salter Caramel Milkshake and it was cold, thick, sweet, and tasty. This was a much better experience. The staff was friendly as they were last time. Went today for lunch with my kids. They were a little restless and acting wild when we sat down, to which I quickly scolded them and told them to get it together (which they did). The waitress was an absolute nightmare. She was so unbelievably nasty, she was so appalled at the fact that my 3 year old daughter slapped her hands down on the table (I don’t know why she did this, she’s 3) that she like jumped back and gasped - as if my little girl was going to hurt her or something. Totally dramatic! I then took her to the bathroom and my 12 and 8 l year old told me that while I was gone, she literally threw their juice boxes on the table without a word. My kids were freaked out. She was so rude and short tempered. I can completely understand being stressed or frustrated, but I had already handled my kids behavior, and there was only one other table sitting at the time. So if she can’t handle two tables, then I don’t think waitressing is the right line of work for her. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. I did like the fries. It’s very hot in there, and it needs some good cleaning and updating. Do yourself a favor and head to wayback burgers where they aren’t afraid of, or...

4.5 Stars - I've only visited twice so far and so we'll see if they can push it to 5 or will they settle back into a 4. The Food (burger, fries and Shake) were really good. Made to order, hot and cooked just right (a definite improvement from 2+ years ago, which apparently wasn't always happening... seems that they have addressed the issue). Waitressing can be (and should be) a bit better. Both of my visits weren't during busy times, so no excuse there. A little more concentration maybe? Not sure what it was. Certainly friendly, however not 5 Star Waitressing for sure. Could use a a little more in the way of decorating. Will make the place a bit more inviting and to feel a bit more upscale vs. the mildly rundown look (clean mind you, but not terribly inviting or eye catching). OK, well they seem to be nailing the food lately (just read any review for the past 18 mths and for sure some dang good food, the Milkshakes!). So yeah, I would say with just a little work here and there they will really go places and could find themselves rocking 5 Stars...
