Happiness Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Oak Park

I wish I could give zero stars. We ordered several entrees of food being we had not had Chinese takeout for quite some time. We had actually eaten here a few times before in the past and the food was good. With all the money we spent, everything we ate was absolutely horrible. The appetizer dish was a joke in that the breading used was thick and doughy (not thoroughly cooked). The egg rolls were not filled and partially hollow. The chicken was tough and had an off taste. The sweet and sour chicken had an off taste and it was so tough and stringy, we could barely chew it. The Mongolian chicken was so salty, we were concerned it was seasoned this way to cover up something else. The shrimp fried rice was sticky and tasteless. We were so angry about spending a large amount of money to only get food that tasted old and recycled. We threw the food away for fear we might get sick. We should have known something was suspect when we placed this order and the woman told us it would be ready in 15 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to...

I don't know what was going on with the cashier lady and the cook today, but they were a little off to me. I told her I wanted sweet and sour fish not sweet and sour chicken. I get the receipt when I got the food and it said sweet and sour chicken...I say I told you fish, then she says thats not apart of the lunch special I told her I know that, I was willing to pay her 12$ for it because it's just that good, then I asked if she could change it to what I want and she told me NO. She acted like I was bothering her. I gave her 50$ for that mess which was overly cooked and dried out, alongside chicken w/ broccoli which I didn't like the appearance of the chicken it looked very very undercooked. And a chicken egg foo Yung. This will be my last time frequenting happiness, you foreigners shouldn't be able to get away with serving low budget food and we really the ones keeping yall in business. I can take my money elsewhere and I WILL!!! DO BETTER WITH THE FOOD AND QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!! P.S. ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPT RIGHT...

Somethings not right here. they need help

No Love ,, how do you make a living with sub-par food. Made between 6pm and 6:30pm House Fried Rice #555 does not resemble the photo, Where's the egg and green onions. Short grain fried rice that I used sweet n sour packets on to taste because it lacked taste

Appetizer combination left frying a tad too long or high heat too long, so the frying oil left its taste on every item and we're not talking closing time.

How did they get 4 stars , as for cheap , I gladly pay an extra $3 dollars for it to taste like it should.

I hate giving a terrible review , they need to sit down and rethink what changed , did they cut corners , lose customers, and cut more corners to make rent, are they coming to work stressed out.
