We, hubby and I, love Burger King. But the one in McCalla is getting consistently worse. Yesterday we got to the drive thru at 4:48 pm and we're told they were doing a shift change and we couldn't be serviced for 10 min. We needed something from Target anyway, so we decided to do that and come back... our 1st mistake. We got back to the drive thru at 5:03pm. They took our order. And we got it at approximately 5:10 pm. We had specifically asked for no pickles, add extra onions, cheese and bacon, on my burger and HOT fries... so we didn't really mind the wait. However, when we got our order several minutes later, the fries were COLD!!! I mean cold to the touch. Not lukewarm. COLD. We went back to the drive thru and requested HOT fries. We were asked to pull forward... he, the cashier/night manager, seemed irritated that we wanted our food the way we requested- HOT!!! While waiting on hot fries, I checked my burger only to discover, no bacon, no cheese, no onions at all... WITH pickles. We ended up getting hot fries at 5:31 pm. I just kept the burger bc I figured it would have been 6:00 before we ate. We are really hoping this restaurant can get it together bc we love our Burger King and don't want to loose it. But we believe bc of the poor service and poor management, it won't be long before its closed down. Read moreOrdered a Large whopper meal with drink no ice. Got a cup, with ice, ok no problem. Sipped it, nothing but carbonated water. Go inside, to get some from the fountain. Same thing. I poured the 2nd out. tried a different drink, same thing. In addition the drink machine drain is clogged so it is bubbling up a dark slurry for the overflowing bottom all over my hand. At this point i just throw the drink out, as it is just carbonated water from the different selection. Got to my car. Fries are a half empty medium fry, and the burger is room temperature cold. I received no receipt. I called the store for 5 minutes and it just rings (and they were not busy). Finally I called corporate, and I may get a call by Friday. This is disgusting and am afraid to eat the burger and saltless half fries at this point for fear of food poisoning as there is no telling how long it sat out. Update - Ms. Williams called me within 15 minutes and apologized and advised they are transitioning GM's, and to go back after the following Wed. to give them the chance to re-make a meal because of the issues. Read moreDon't get me started here. Service is lacking. They never get the order right. They have things advertised and then they say they don't serve it. They give you cold stares when you come in.
What takes the cake is not knowing the difference between a chicken tendercrisp patty and a whopper patty. I used to be in fast food, and even at 15-16, I NEVER had this kind of issue...
Maybe they went to school to learn how to mess things up?
Even worse, the staffing isn't diverse. It's one single race, and that's it. I would understand if the neighborhood was made up that way, but it isn't. It's a mixed neighborhood. I actually had walked in while someone was joking about "crackers." I prefer the term, Choctaw, thank you very much.
