There is not a menu in this place, so they charge whatever they would like, despite having several menus on their Google page showing the prices. I was told they didn't have any "for me" items available which should be about $4.50 for a slice of cheesecake, but instead i got the "for we" cheesecake, which is bigger and cost more. The menus I saw on the Google app were not what the owner told me..I wasn't going to argue over it, and even tipped (why is tipping a thing when you go in stores for pick up?). Anyways, I got my cheesecake, it was quite warm, but when I got home I opened it up to indulge. The first couple bites were good with the edges, but I soon found that the center was mushy cream cheese essentially. It had an off taste, unlike anything I tried before. It was like there was an expired ingredient or rather dirty water used in making it. It was not good past the bites I took with chocolate sauce on it and a graham cracker crust. It looked great, but tasted bad. I feel like some corners are being cut and I was given what was left for the day, because I didn't ask many questions, I just went with what was recommended. I was given a piece off the counter where no other product was, and it felt like a rushed thing. Maybe it was close to end of day and I got a bad piece, but this was not a good experience and I am not sure I can give it another 2nd chance for paying $15...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh My Word!! So I read a post about the story of this place and how the owner continues this business in his late Wife's memory, as they started it together and this was her dream. That touched my heart and the pictures looked delicious. So I finally stopped by this week and as soon as you walk in you know it's going to be good cause it smells like Heaven. The gentleman helping me was so polite and kind. He apologized for the "mess" which was not a mess at all but a piece of tape on a table, and proceeded to tell me the flavors they had that day. Now all this is great, but let's be honest, if the cheesecake ain't that good, none of the other stuff matters. So I picked up 4 different flavors to take home and try: peanut butter, peach cobbler, Sundae, and chocolate chip cookie. Wowser. They are fantastic. The Sundae, which I didn't think I'd like cause it's more 'plain' looking than the others can hold its own on the cheesecake itself. Literally the best Cheesecake ever. Like it doesn't need any topping, it's that good. And the peach cobbler, which I am not even a fan of peaches but they put some cinnamon crack mixture on it that is out of this world. So those are my 2 favs so far, but can't wait to try the others! I didn't get any pictures cause we were too busy eating it, that tells ya how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of indulging in the Pick 3 "We" selection from Not Cho Cheesecake, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. I opted for the It's A Party, Strawberry No Shortcake, and Shortie cheesecakes, and each one was a masterpiece of flavor and texture.
If you find yourself torn between choices, I can't recommend Strawberry No Shortcake and Shortie enough. Both are so well-crafted that picking a favorite seems impossible. The Strawberry No Shortcake combines a lush, creamy filling with the perfect hint of strawberry, making each bite a delectable journey. Shortie, on the other hand, hits all the classic notes you want from a cheesecake, delivering comfort and satisfaction in every mouthful.
One of the best things about Not Cho Cheesecake is the size options. The sizes are perfect for either treating yourself to an individual feast or sharing the love with someone else. I'll admit, I didn't share mineāand I have zero regrets!
Supporting black-owned businesses is important to me, and I'm thrilled to sing the praises of Not Cho Cheesecake. They've taken an iconic dessert and elevated it to an art form, leaving no doubt that you're partaking in something special. If you're a cheesecake enthusiast, make sure this place is on your radarāyou won't be...
