There are better places for pho imo. I ordered the large P1 combination, Vietnamese coffee with milk, and two orders (4 pieces) of shrimp and pork spring rolls. The positives: The large pho was in a bowl that is usually a medium in most places, but the bowl was packed with noodles and meat. The portion of food was large. The Vietnamese coffee with milk tasted sweet and smooth. I didn't taste any coffee bitterness. The spring rolls were larger than what most places would serve. The negative: The soup base of the pho was bland. A good soup enhances the taste of the noodles and meats, but there soup base didn't. The brisket, tendon, and tripe was good, but the rare steak tasted bad. I had a few that tasted like it was old meat. No meatball in the p1 combo. Not sure if meatball is in any of their menu. The Vietnamese coffee was only filled 2/3 of the glass. The ice was filled to the top. They made the drink first and added the ice. About 5 ice cubes never made contact with the drink. A few sips and I was done with the drink. Not worth $3.50. Can't say how the spring roll tasted. I ordered it "to go" for my wife, but it looked tasty.
They need one more person for the wait staff (they had 2 with one behind the bar) but I can see that they're trying to cut cost there. The lunch rush is not worth it for someone to work for only 2 hours. The person behind the bar needed to help the single waitress sooner, she waited too long. Every table in the main dining area was occupied. One waitress can't handle all of them. Thus, the waitress couldn't make time to take care of refills and other usually routine assistance.
On a side note: It was a clean dining area. Didn't use the...
Read moreWalking in you can see it's a smaller location. But it still feels open & cozy instead of stuffy. Lighting is where it needs to be & the window also lets light in. The waiting staff is very attentive & ready to take your order. Our server brought out the bean sprouts & Pho in a timely manner. If there's not something you see on the menu then the staff will take a custom order, of course. Not only are the portion sizes robust but they also do not leave you wanting more ingredients. In addition, the seafood in your Pho is plentiful & the steak with veggies are exceptional as well. The broth is seasoned & you can tell that it was cooked for multiple hours. With added cilantro, garlic, & Basil the broth is; dare I say, downright drinkable. This spot is a must if you enjoy Pho & you will most likely have lunch the next day. Pricing is very modest but I would also suggest adding an egg for $2. It was poached to perfection. Thank you to the staff & the chef! This is how much I had left over after I got full & that container is at least 8...
Read moreNot a pleasant experience. This young sweet girl cleaned a table for us. She was using the cleaner Odoban. After about 10 squirts of this product on the table the smell was extremely overwhelming. I use this product have for years in my home and it is recommended that you rinse this product off around any food areas. I felt for the man eating with this product being sprayed so excessively right next him. The table was so sticky the floors were sticky. We decided to leave because this cleaning agent was on everything and not being rinsed off with any clean water. Not a good practice. If the front of the place is being sprayed like this, are they using it on the prep areas in the kitchen without the proper rinsing. Won't...
