If you have a disability and a service animal, this establishment will request things that are summary offenses in the state of PA and violate your rights according to the ADA. a federal act. ignorance is not bliss. it hurts people and reminds them that because their disability isn’t obviously seen, they will be discriminated and denied entry to an establishment that has to right to deny my right to go to a restaurant or bar and attempt to enjoy myself. instead i am reminded that i have a disability that a service animal eases and allows me to attempt to enjoy myself in a public establishment. Businesses should be educated on the rights of those with disabilities according to the ADA and the state laws. But i have no problem contacting the Department of Disability and reporting blatant discrimination. I know my rights. This is not my first service dog as well as training them for over ten years. I pity those who neglect human rights and are frankly ill educated. And judgmental. But I also am disappointed due to the good reviews but the fact I was denied entry. Ignorance is not bliss. It is laziness to educate and adapt to federal laws and also will lose business due to the fact i will be warning those like me to avoid the constant unnecessary attempt to advocate myself to those that have been insufficiency trained to provide efficient customer service. Tell me. If i had a walking stick and were blind, would i have been turned away? I think not. FYI- a lot of federally recognized disabilities are not outwardly visible. And are none of the establishments business unless they’d like to be reported for additional violations AKA HIPPAA. I am not disappointed. I am sad that i am denied my rights but also reminded of my disability and the fact that my service animal motivates me to conquer things I actively attempt to do. Thank you for reminding me that humanity has lost empathy, compassion, and businesses are permitted to clearly lack the effort to adapt and accommodate someone who just wanted to enjoy dinner. Thank you for being a business i will deliberately avoid due to their stagnant business...
Read morePreviously McGrady's F&A Grog has redone the place while preserving the character. With a beautiful new well stocked bar balanced by the original wooden graffitied tables. The beer selection was extensive. All 52 taps were in use. (for those reviews concerned about individual pricing the beer menu now has the prices listed.) There should be a beer for just about every taste. Beer snobs shouldn't expect "double bourbon barrel aged triple sour milkshake IPA's". The "popular" craft beers are well represented including some national big brewery beers with a few rare gems. The food menu is typical pub food, fish and chips, cheesesteaks, hamburgers, etc. Everything we ordered was great. (Note the house sauce on the cheesesteak is a horseradish based not tomato based sauce.) Staff over the top friendly, offered samples of beers, described beers and they were everywhere. They hired a great crew. TVs, TVs, TVs, if you go to watch an event you'll have a view every but the restroom. Only a few issues, parking (kinda expect that given it's the Southside of Bethlehem), beer bellys are not going to have a lot of room to add more. The booths will require you to inhale to squeeze into the booth. Overall nice place to grab beer and...
Read moreOur server wasn’t even paying attention. I had to walk up to him while he was at the bar to get us silver ware. He was texting might I add. My friend had ordered a set of chicken wings that she was not a fan of. I asked if we could get those off the bill and order another set. I’ve never been to a restaurant in my life where they won’t comp food if you did not enjoy it. He argued with me that it’s standard that restaurants don’t do that and came off very pompous about it. The manager came out to tell me that they can’t do it cause they are a “mom and pop” shop. I’ve worked at copperhead grille that’s only 2 restaurants and I’ve seen them do it for people who didn’t deserve it. My friend had maybe two chicken wings. I couldn’t believe it lost my appetite and payed for food I didn’t eat. I left and will never return to this restaurant. To be fair the manager did take off the chicken wings we didn’t like but by then the servers attitude had got to me and I felt like they both thought I was dumb or hadn’t been in the business before. Overall better for college kids who want to just get drunk and reckless not suitable for much else. Won’t spend another...
