Johnny's Bagels & Deli — Restaurant in Bethlehem

Staff is extremely unfriendly and bordering on incompetent. I asked for an egg and cheese sandwich and instead received it with bacon in it. When I told them I asked for an egg and cheese bagel, they simply removed the bacon and gave me the same bagel back. When I asked them to make me a new bagel they were very reluctant and kept making remarks. I'm a vegetarian and don't eat meat, fish, or poultry so I know I didn't say bacon. When I asked for a refund for the more expensive sandwich, he replied "no problem". I explained to him that I paid $4.60 for a $3.06 item. He continued to just say "no problem". I gave up and asked if I could just take something else and he made sure it would be a cheapo item like a banana...

This place is quite shady. This morning I was in there to grab a sandwich. The person who took my order walked away from me while I was trying to order. Even worse, he grabbed the bagels with his hands that just touched money and the cash register without any gloves. This is not sanitary by any means. Then when I checked out he just took my card and did not tell me the bill, and when I checked my account it seems that I was overcharged, unless a 16 oz bottle of soda costs over $4.00. Overall, very shady...

Don’t get me wrong Johnny has thy BEST BAGELS hands down. Their staff is always so happy with smiles on their faces makes the place feel welcoming. I visit Johnny’s in the Lehigh valley mall about 4x a week, but today I visited the Lehigh campus location & I was not pleased with the cleanliness of the place! Everything was dusty, glass on coolers were grimy, the napkin dispenser, GROSS. I wouldn’t even use a coffee stirrer due to the dirty napkin that lined the straw holder. I just think the place...
