The people are super nice, and the service is great, but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with the food. I used to order from here a lot, around 6-7 years ago, when I lived close by. The food was very good then, but not so much now.
Out of everything I ordered, the chicken with broccoli was the only thing that tasted freshly made, and I was able to finish. The boneless spare ribs had a smell similar to rotten pork, and the taste matched. The generals chicken seemed as though it was leftover from a while ago and did not taste good at all. Some pieces were chewy, other pieces crunchy. Very inconsistent texture but overall had a terrible old taste to it. The sweet and sour chicken was the same, the breading tasted very very old, and had a smell similar to old expired flour. After not having much left to eat now, I figured I could fill up on the egg roll and pork fried rice, but I was wrong. One bite of the egg roll was enough, and the same for the rice. Again, both tasted leftover as though it was cooked a while ago, not just hours ago, possibly days ago.
I am not sure what happened to this place over the years. It used to be my go to Chinese food spot, but itās doubtful I will order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best way to describe Reunion is "Cheap, fast, and hard to get to." the location of the store itself makes it almost impossible to reach if you're going northbound on Shoenersville road, but if you can make it to this small chinese place it's a great stop for lunch. the noodles were good and served in a round tinfoil container with a plastic lid, the amount of food you get for the price (Especially for lunch) is great and they seem to be willing to negotiate on what exactly comes with your lunch special (The nice lady at the counter informed me that if I didn't want the standard fried rice that came with a lunch special, I could substitute it for something else.)
The Lunch also comes with an Egg Roll, which is a nice touch. It seems like it would be a decent place to eat in, though the dining room is an open floor with tables and chairs. Everything I ordered was done in 10 minutes, but was fresh.
Overall a good place to stop by. If not for the sub-prime location I bet it would be a lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel bad leaving a bad review because the service is very good they are very very friendly, that being said the food wasnāt good. I ordered chicken lo mein and there was hardly any chicken and hardly any vegetables in it, it was frustrating because it was a late night at work and I just wanted a good dinner and I feel like I paid eight dollars for a box of noodles and rice. I also got fried wontons and they were very very chewy they actually hurt my teeth to chew through I didnāt finish them. Iāve eaten here before and the food used to be a lot better Iām hoping I just caught them on an off night but I would avoid the wontons and the lo mein and order something thatās more meat forward if youāre a meat eater. Also the eggrolls were not good one had a giant burn spot on it that I could see through the bag and the other one was soft soggy and soaked with oil. Have eaten here before and it was OK but honestly everything I ordered...
