Not only was the food absolutely mid-tier, the service was also horrible. It took an hour for our food to come and when asking the servers to check on our food they completely dismissed us and were extremely rude. One server even said that he “could not handle us at the moment.” Once we asked to speak to the manager all he did was say they were “short staffed” and did not offer us any compensation whatsoever. The manager was also petting my underage friends arms making them exceptionally uncomfortable. After asking the manager to stop touching us as we were rightfully uncomfortable, he never apologized, rather send the owner to “handle” the situation. The owner proceeded to come out of the back of the restaurant to angrily say, “I don’t care if the service is bad, I will not be paying for your meals”. As I began to explain how it wasn’t only the horrible service that made this place absolutely unpleasant and uncomfortable, but how the manager tried to compensate the horrid service for trying to make us comfortable through touching us. We were so mortified by this situation that after 30 minutes of fighting with the staff, we were forced to pay for this meal and were rarely approached with phrases such as “i’m sorry”. This was a truly horrible experience and I usually don’t take time out of my day to write reviews, however, this review was worth my time. I advise you all to stay away from this...
Read moreOpen since 1975 The Nosh is one of the better known delis in Los Angeles. There aren’t a ton of delis in the Beverly Hills area so The Nosh really capitalizes on its unique location. I always stop in for breakfast, but I have known others who prefer to stop in at lunch, even though they close fairly early at 4PM. The food is not fancy. It’s definitely more comfort food, almost like a diner but more so a deli and breakfast restaurant. Service is very quick and all the employees I encountered were very polite. There is a ton of metered parking around, but there is also a parking lot directly behind the restaurant, which is very easy and close.
They have a fairly large menu, but it’s definitely geared more toward deli type of food options. For my meal today, I chose the Shakshuka, which is the Israeli breakfast, and an onion bagel. The Shakshuka was really good and quite large and the two eggs were perfectly easy, so they tasted great once I broke the yolk. The onion bagel was also really good and a great addition to the meal. I would definitely recommend both.
Overall, a really solid deli that has easy parking and plenty of seating. I would recommend to any...
Read moreAt first when we got our table everything seemed fine. But then a gentleman sat next to us and was watching videos on his phone at full volume. I ask the waitress if we can switch tables at the table across from us and she said that wasn’t her section but she’ll figure something out. Never got a response, so I get up and ask someone else to help us and he said there’s nothing they can do. So whatever we move a table over in our waitress’s section, but we could still hear his phone. So we wait for our food and our orders were completely wrong. When we get them again the food is cold this time. We just told our waitress we would rather just leave at this point. So un-accommodating. We live in the neighborhood and we were hoping this would be a new breakfast spot to become a regular at but we won’t be coming back. What a disappointment. A lot of dogs in that restaurant too that were barking. So many other places in that area that are really great to eat at or...
