This cafe surely caught my weak spot on petite gorgeous space with slow relaxing ambiance. Besides, it's one of my most favorite neighborhood, not because it sold all the fancy luxury goods, but I just loved how walkable the area was which wasn't that common in LA. Plus point was plenty of parking structure nearby, most of which were free for first 2 hours. The space literally looked like a tea garden and it's consistently busy but not overly crowded, which was just perfect.
The attendant was so welcoming and accommodating, including for making my sandwich customization request happened. I tried their #1 favorite - Spicy Don, which by default was supposedly served with fried breaded chicken breast fillet, but I asked mine to be substituted with roasted one. Despite the name, it wasn't spicy at all so if you had zero spicy tolerance, still go for it since it did taste luscious. The idea of combining it with straciatella cheese was brilliant and I'd never thought before spicy vodka sauce could go well with pesto sauce. The best highlight was doubtlessly their baguette which came in precisely right texture being fluffy inside but so crispy outside. For a cafe in Beverly, I felt like the price and size were quite normal.
I wouldn't really recommend the drink as for me the brown sugar foam matcha latte was just okay. Despite having it with light ice, I felt like my drink was bit watered down and the matcha wasn't as bold as I expected. Besides, the foam was bit clumpy and the brown sugar flavor didn't really stand out.
Overall I would still recommend it for the sandwich, and some people did say the salad was also good so prolly would try...
Read moreWelcoming and warm space. This place gives me home vibes. The name has its own unique meaning. Its really its own brand. So much parking lots and street parking all around, very convenient. This street is so busy tho, theres doctors walking around, business people, people who just got surgery, deliveries from large trucks. My fav is their Miso Ceaser wrap with the organic chicken and house made sauce, like what!! Its so much more fresh than erewhon and theirs is prepackaged in some fridge..lol. They have a new chorizo breakfast burrito, the image speaks for itself. The lox toast with avocado is so good too. This street is poppin. Im so happy they opened. Family owned business and i love supporting that. They're lucky to be on this street away from the chaos. They have their own community here. Only the real locals know about it. Its lowkey but huge. I went on their ig and saw they've been having wait times for the longest time. That tells me their food is fire and so are the drinks. What makes me keep coming back is the their high quality drinks and food. Organic coffee which tastes fire, seed oil free, organic house made syrups, organic milks, house made sauces, organic chicken, grass fed steak, pasture raised eggs, house made foams. Like should i keep going lol? how much more better can it get. oh and ceremonial matcha. And they match or are even cheaper then the other standard shops around. Freshly baked goods delivered daily, fresh bread. Truly a passion behind this. I've even seen celebs here, so ya...
Read moreI found this place on tiktok and it looked amazing, but I was a bit skeptical since tiktok has let me down before. We were greeted with smiles when we walked in, and when ordering they told us there was a 20-minute wait time for food (which I appreciated them telling us). The place was full, so the wait time was understandable and there were no available seats, so we ordered to go. Luckily on our way out an outside table cleared up so we quickly snagged it. We ordered the spicy don and miso caesar wrap with crispy chicken to split, we both also got the salted vanilla latte.
I never leave reviews, but this was so much better than I expected it to be. The spicy don had the most perfect crunch and the mix of flavors combined together just pair so perfectly. Creamy cheese, nutty pesto, and one of the best vodka sauces I have ever tasted. That sandwich deserves an award. The caesar wrap was also really good. The miso gives it a unique touch so it doesn't taste like every other caesar wrap in L.A. I like that they use breadcrumbs instead of humongous croutons. Salted Vanilla was a perfect balance of sweet and a slight touch of salt. I do not live to close to this establishment, but if I did, I'd be here like three times a week at a minimum. 10/10 and we will definitely be back. Cudos to you...
