Flour(ish) Bake Shoppe — Restaurant in Beverly

It’s been about 3 months since our wedding, and now that everything has calmed down a bit, I am honored to spend some time reviewing Flour(ish). Our approach to picking vendors was to narrow it down to a few options, and then pick the vendor that felt the most comfortable. Right away, walking into the Flour(ish) bakery, we were in love. Taryn’s flexibility and approachability, not to mention her AMAZING tasting samples, meant we knew we had to work with her on our wedding day and didn’t bother visiting other cake shops (seriously, it was that good). And it turned out to be one our best decisions of our wedding. Our cake was delivered on time, and looked perfect. We got a display cake for cutting, and sheet cakes for everyone else. Everyone was raving about the cake; people who didn’t even like cake kept eating cake. We wound up bringing the cake to the after party; our guests couldn’t get enough! I found Taryn while I was scouring the area for a bakery to supply me with a simple naked cake for my wedding. I needed to look no further after discovering that Flour(ish) existed. I've had my fair share of cake in my lifetime and nothing compared to what I tried here. Taryn was easy to work with, helpful, and (most importantly!) accommodating when the pandemic caused me to postpone. When the day finally came my wedding cake was everything I'd remembered it being, having sampled it over a year prior. It was one of the major highlights of our big day. I cannot put to words how highly I recommend utilizing Flour(ish) for all your cake needs. The cake itself was moist, chocolatey, not overly sweet, and the combination of buttercreams I chose really were delicious. I am not one for sweets, but my husband is, so I was searching for someone that would be able to pull off a beautiful tablescape full of incredible desserts. When I came across Taryn at Flour(ish) Bake Shoppe I saw what she could do with a variety of cakes and knew she was right for the job. For the cake we went with a deliciously lemon and raspberry naked cake and asked if she could also do mini cupcakes in a few different flavors along with brownie bites, lemon squares and more. We really wanted our guests to enjoy dessert by offering them a few different options from the richness of chocolate, or a taste of New England with hand held pies, while also allowing guests to the option of wedding cake.
