El Burrito Loco — Restaurant in Big Rapids Township

Avoid this place. Me and my family came up to visit some friends in the area and this was the first stop for all of us together. I'll start with the set up; terrible lighting. The only lighting is over the booths which is very poor design as that will only fit 4 people, there were 6 of us so we were cramped into a table inbetween the booths with no lightning whatsoever. There was also no music which is unusual for a cultural restraunt like this. Next was the service. Our waitress was one of the worst I've ever had. When we first day down she just left, so we had to wait 15 minutes just to order drinks! Then when we were serviced she would set everything at one end of the table and make us pass it out to each other!! This included silverware, drinks and even the hot food. Then in the middle of our meal we were in great need of refills and she was no where to be seen. I then spotted her later sitting in a booth talking to people. Wow. I guess we should have gotten the hint of how bad this place was when we saw there were no employees in sight of Mexican or Latino decent. Lastly there us the food. It wasn't so bad that we couldn't eat it but it tasted bland. We all got variations of tacos and with tacos having so much different things in them your mouth should be exploding with flavor but this was a sad excuse for "flavor" that costs 12$. Most of the reviews on here have to be fake, because this place has the worst service and most mediocre food I've ever had. Let me clarify, the food isn't bad, it's just not nearly good enough to justify the price. I went here with a couple friends and ordered the steak and cheese burrito. My friends food came out first, and my friend jordans meal was incorrect as they had accidentally sent his tacos to another table. My steak and cheese burrito on the other hand was nowhere to be found. The waiter, who was obviously incompetent told me they hadn't made my food and had forgotten about it. I had to wait another 45 minutes for my food. At that point I was just happy to be eating, but honestly, my burrito was small and underwhelming, nowhere near worth the $14 price. I've been to many other mexican restaurants with much better burritos. So at the end of the day, I got poor service, mediocre food and a much more empty bank account. If I could rate it a 0/10 I would, but given that this is 1-5 stars, I'll be stuck giving it a 1, just know, I'll never be coming back here. Bad mexican food I ordered chiles rellenos and the Chile was old looks like it had been made several days ago it tasted like old fridge food kinda like stale oil it was stuffed with ground meat and normally this chiles rellenos get stuffed with queso and dipped in scrambled eggs there was something weird in the stuffing that seem to be sour cream but I'm not sure what tha was rice tasted like it was old too the only good taste on my plate was the refried beens. and also a mexican restaurants that does not stock mexican bottled drinks like jarritos, coca-cola, and sidral mundet, agua de jamaica, and agua de orchata cannot be called mexican restaurant they should also serve tres leches and flan cake then It would become an authentic mexican restaurant yes I am Mexican and normally we set the bar high for restaurants we have high expectations because we know what mexican food tastes like and EL BURRITO LOCO does not have any authentic mexican food I will never go eat there ah one more thing for the menu prices they have its it's horrible food for the price I am very disappointed in this restaurant and do not see my self coming back there it's...
