Service is so disgusting, we stand the front door for 10 minutes, no one asks for assistance, and we went to the front desk to ask when we could get a table, they just pretend not to listen, we ask again. Also, the server can not hear what we wondered. Fake Asian food service so wrong. Also, the server has intense discrimination against foreigners. Because I heard about Montana has a strong bias for the foreigner, you can try into this restaurant what is called discrimination. Not friendly States in America, also poorly states in the United States. There has a lot of people who did not get a good education. So, that is why I can give one star at my comment. The decoration is right, but that is not representative service is good. If you travel to other states, you can contrast how the difference huge in Montana.

Accommodating at a very high price. I didn’t want to make any fuss over being plant based but my husband asked. Super friendly and willing to make something different. I was going to be fine with what was on the menu. What we weren’t made aware of is the cost that this would come at. Almost 4x as much as a vegetable roll on the menu was a “freestyle roll” had planned on coming back many times during our visit but after the shock and disappearance of our bartender/server when the bill came it was clear I was taken advantage of. Paid the bill and gave the appropriate tip. Make sure you know what you’re asking for.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting and everything was fantastic! I ordered a huckleberry mule and a strawberry basil sake gimlet (highly recommend). We ordered jalepeno poppers, edamame, and shishito peppers to split between three people. The jalepeno poppers and the sushi rolls were huge!! Our food and drinks came out promptly. We thankfully got seated without reservations but it was busy so I’d make reservations if we go again just in case.

Our family planned a 21st birthday dinner here February 6th. We specifically choose this place as we had been here a couple of years ago and had a truly great experience. My niece, the young lady who’s 21st birthday it was also loves Sushi. We had 8:00 reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was excellent and helped us with a small flight of sake after which we ordered a bottle that he suggested would complement our meal. We then placed the order for the table. This all took place by 8:15. Then things started to go south. We received our appetizers at 9:00. Mind you we ordered the sake and had it no later than 8:20 and it really was about the food pairing. So as we waited we had a couple of Japanese beers. At 9:45, and, after having watched tables that came in after us eat and left, we decided we were leaving. I spoke to the server who got the manager and I explained they had ruined this birthday dinner and we would pay for the apps but not for what we did not receive including the sake which we barley drank as it for the for the food. The manager became insulting and very confrontational to the point I just walked out as I’m not going to stand there and be yelled at. We went to the bar across the street to see if we could score a pizza. It’s now 10:20. No food being served anymore. All of sudden the Sherriff walks in with a couple of receipts in his hand. He goes over to a table of 6 middle age gentleman (long story short the exact same thing happened to them) and they are trying to clear their name as they left money on at the sushi bar. I respectively get the Sherriff’s attention and it turns the manager had called the cops on our family. So I proceeded to go back to Blue Buddha and suffer more insults from the manager and in the end I did the very thing I said I would do in the beginning. I paid for the apps we received. This guy should be fired and I highly caution any one from eating at this place until they get their management replaced. As a business owner I would fire this man immediately. I feel for the owner, having this guy working there and wrecking a once excellent dining experience. Such are the days we are livening I guess. We made the best of the birthday but this place ruined the night for us and we won’t be going back. Can’t any way as the manager said our family is blacklisted as they don’t serve our kind. Dine at your own...

I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt with all the negative reviews but I have a hard time completely letting them off. I ordered take out and was told on the phone that it would be ready at a certain time. When I got there at the time they designated, I understandably had to wait behind another group for a few minutes. However, after waiting behind that group for 10 mins, my order still wasn’t ready. Another 5 mins later and it was “ready.” However, I noticed when the hostess gave me my order that it was missing an item. Another few minutes later and I was actually able to leave.

The food itself was OK. For the price, honestly, I was really disappointed. Not the worst sushi I’ve had but certainly not the best, especially for the price. My dumplings were cold by the time they had my actual entire order together and even then, they gave me the wrong dipping sauce.

I can’t say too much to the service but when I did arrive, no one was at the front counter for a good 10 minutes. At this point, I’m surprised they don’t have a designated hostess. I want to be understanding but it seems a change needs to be made after being in business for several years and still suffering problems like this. I really hope they’re able to make some positive changes. I think they have a lot of potential but it just hasn’t been...

We had mixed feelings about our visit. Upon arrival on a Wednesday night, we were told the wait would be 60 minutes, which we were fine with. We grabbed a drink next door at The Drunken Monk (which was fantastic) while we waited. However, 60 minutes came and went with no update. We noticed other parties who arrived after us being seated, so we checked in and were told we were next on the list.

After 1.5 hours, we asked again, and the hostess responded with attitude, claiming we should have received a notice that they couldn’t seat us—though we never did. We asked for a manager which never came. Shortly after, she returned and said she could seat us but that we needed to order quickly.

Once seated, our server was prompt but brought the wrong sauce for our order and forgot our beers. Despite this, the appetizer was excellent, and the kitchen staff was clearly working hard—much appreciated! The food itself was fantastic, but from arrival to actually eating, it took over three hours.

If you have the time, the food is worth it. However, if you’re looking for a quick, efficient dining experience, you might want to consider...
