Feel like I need to help average out the Google reviews, since they contributed to us coming here. Short version, best comparison would be a much less good version of Chipotle or Moe's, for about 3x the price.
My wife and I ordered two burritos, one chicken and one steak, which our server said was her favorite thing on the menu. Great, very excited about dinner after a day on the mountain! Literally two minutes after ordering our food came out; guess everything is precooked. What we ended up with was about a Chipotle sized burrito wrapped in a room temperature tortilla and a moderate amount of rice and beans on the side - a bit underwhelming for $18 each. The meat was the only cooked item in the burrito, finely chopped beef and chicken with just a little seasoning - not bad, not great. Everything else, lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a bit of guac, was cold and mostly flavorless. The entire burrito, therefore, also ended up cold and bland. The chips and salsa were decent, but they only give one free basket and a refill is $6 (prices went up since the menu photos were taken). I know we are in a ski town and 2020 was hard on restaurants, but given the menu prices at least we should get free chips. We skipped on the $12 house margherita and $14 guacamole and and still paid $45 for 2 people with no leftovers. To be clear, this place is not awful. Nothing is really good; the food is only "fine", the portions are small but "fine", the service was fine, and the prices are high. Overall it was so surprisingly underwhelming we actually pulled back up the Google reviews during the meal to make sure we had the right restaurant. If you're dying for Mexican, or if you have extra money you need to get rid of, go here, otherwise choose...
Read moreUnfortunately, we ended up not eating here due to the experience from management. We were a larger than 6 party and were informed parties larger than 6 will not have checks split. It was lunch time, it was empty besides maybe another table?? We asked if we could have our checks split and server said he'd ask manager. This was all good. However, manager's response was basically "won't split checks, it's on our menu we won't split checks, and you can go to either A or B restaurant if you don't like it." When manager left table we chatted and most of us were just fine putting our meals on one check and splitting up bill later. However, it truly was the attitude of management and the way she spoke to us that was the deciding factor, and we chose to try out one of the other restaurants. (Sooo disappointed--I was really wanting a margarita! : ) ) The very unfortunate experience came, however, when we were leaving the comments that were stated to us. One comment was "Thanks for the mess." (They had given us waters and chips/salsa.) Ummm...your manager basically told us to take our business elsewhere?? The kicker, tho, was when one of our party stopped to talk with one of the employees and was informed, "We were here before you were." What exactly does that mean?? They have no idea where we are from nor our ethnicities, etc. It was so a lot of attitude, and truly, it would have been no problem to have paid on one check. However, wasn't a good start, and so we took management's advice and found a wonderful sandwich/bakery shop just on the other side of the shopping area that...
Read moreManager Sooooooo RUDE. I give them zero stars for customer service. We ordered 4 house margaritas. When they arrived they had entirely too much orange juice. The margaritas were solid orange. Well we cant really drink that much orange juice due to the acidic nature of OJ. I immediately took two margaritas back to the bar apologized. I ask the bar tender if he would switch out 3 for margaritas with no OJ. He was visibly annoyed. Told me the menus clearly stated the margaritas had OJ. Told me the mix was pre made and pointed to ALL the pre mix bottles behind the bar. Like I was an idiot. I again apologize because I clearly should have paid more attention to the menu. He made 3 new margaritas and I left two at the bar. The waiters came out to the table to tell us they were going to charge us for ALL the margaritas. We explained that we exchanged two and requested the speak to the manager. He explained that the bar tender was the manager...hmmm Well he was not friendly at all so we decided to just let it go. Then the bartender come stomping out to our table to let us know that HE was the manager and then angrily accused us of wanting free margaritas! Really???? How rude and completely unnecessary. What ever happened to customer service? What has happened to making your clients happy? No room...
