Before food, I'll address service. I had a forgotten drink, not a biggie. Then there was a forget side, not huge, but the cook tried to tell me my friend got my side, which he didn't, so I eventually got my side. Then I find my friend, didn't even get his side, the one that the cook said he got, I guess two of? So when he goes to get his missing food, a cook, maybe the same, tried to tell him his side was with me, in which my friend showed his receipt to show him there were multiple orders they missed. Then we get home and realize that the order of Pico and Chips was missing it's Pico as well...

It's difficult to say this is authentic food, just because it is served by some Latinos, truly I have never had Mexican food in Mexico, so I can't say...however, if this is authentic, then authentic is a little boring. It's not bad tasting, infact, it was generally good tasting on the palate, their Taco Dorado (crispy taco) with shredded beef was okay I spose, but only that. Their Tamale Platter also with shredded beef was good, I've never had sour cream served on my tamale before, it sorta worked. The tamale itself was average, the corn meal was tasty, meat was moist, it came with a decent red sauce, it's what I expected, as far a bare minimum goes, it got a pass. The rice and beans were a little better than just beans and rice, though it took some sauce and a 3rd or 4th taste. I asked for a small guacamole, I ended up paying for a literal sauce cup of a thick green liquid, avocado flavored, with cilantro. I wasn't amused. I also paid for a side of salsa, I mean I asked for salsa without looking to see they serve pico de gallo, so I got a 4oz cup of pico, which I usually love, just make sure you are a big fan of cilantro, which I am a fan, but I mean Big...I wasn't that amused. The Horchata is good, sweet, little bit of flavor, cinnamon, mostly sweet cream. So basically if it's authentic, then Mexico has some alright, though average food.

Cost was $24 not including $6 desert or tip. Wait was a little long, though I went inside, and this isn't fast food type of food anyway, so I wasn't perturbed. Price wasn't fast food.

I'm also willing to say maybe I got a bad luck situation, I might try...

Wow, wow, wow!! So pleasantly surprised. You know Billings is not the most diverse place I've been and sometimes restaurants are a little bland. This was so delicious. I had a chimichanga that was over filling the plate with rice and beans. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. The tortilla was cooked and crispy, but not over done. The little gal in the front had a soft voice, so it was a little hard to hear her, but she was polite and got the order correct. My husband and daughter got the Pollo asada with rice, beans, Pico de Gallo and toasted tortillas. We are so stinking full!!! The statues were beautiful, tables were clean, pop was easy to get to lots of parking and we walked across the street after and grabbed some coffee for the morning. The beans were tasty, not too salty, rice was soft and ricey. Seriously prices right on par with what I have been paying around town, but an incredible flavor and amount of food. Keep up...

Nachos were good but the chips were a little underseasoned. The pork belly however was delicious and had a great flavor. Pretty affordable too. Please give it a try. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this local restaurant, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! The quality of their work is truly outstanding, and you can tell that they take great pride in what they do. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

I was especially impressed with how efficiently they managed their time and how delicious the food was. Everything was completed promptly without sacrificing quality. It's clear that this team values their customers and strives to provide the best service possible.

I highly recommend these folk to anyone looking for top-notch service in a great environment. I will definitely be coming back for my future entertainment and...

We so wanted to like this place. The food was pretty decent but the carne asada is actually more expensive than a full sit-down restaurant by the time you add in that they charge $5.50 for average quality chips and salsa that are included free elsewhere. My rub on the atmosphere is having to pick your own food up when it's ready, bussing your own table and scraping your food into the garbage, and trying to eat carne asada (skirt steak) with a dull plastic knife. It was actually impossible to cut the steak with the plastic cutlery so we ended up having to pick it up and tear it with our hands to put it the included tortillas. A $20+ steak (with chips/salsa) that you have to tear with your hands...
