Waffle House — Restaurant in Biloxi

We have NEVER ate at this one before, but I know I will NEVER eat there again this late at night (3:00am 12/27/16). I get u waitresses only make $2.15/hr but that doesn't mean u have to act like u don't want to be there while customers are present. U would getting bigger tips from customers if u acted curious and professional. The following reasons why we won't are as followed: #1- Waitress was clueless and brought Half our food (Which I've Never had happen)! Also sat down to talk to some guy that was really loud and rude and she sat there and it's like she was listening to our conversation. #2- Food: 2 waffles - soggy, undercooked choco chips on top. I got a chocolate chip and the chips was on top of waffle after it was cooked instead of in the batter once it's been put in the thing 1 biscuit - nasty, hard and just gross 1 hashbrown - greasy as hell, a lil undercooked. 2 drinks (root beer/coke) tasted water down. #3- Customer that sat behind us was VERY loud and VERY rude and the workers there couldn't ask the guy at all if he could tone his voice down. Waitress just sat her fat stupid ass down and started talking to him and behind loud to. After we ate what we could cuz it was just nasty, she asked us if we wanted a box and we said NO but I would like my drink to go and she said "ok". So we go to pay for our nasty food and she hands us our change, dumbass just stands at the register with a dumb look on her face and I said, "Can I have my drink to go??, And she goes, "Oh yea that's right, u wanted ur drink to go." Not once did she say, I'm sorry I forgot or I'm sorry I'm to stupid to remember when u said. There was absolutely NO professionalism at all. The cook, WOW. He don't know how to cook anything. The food was just flat out AWFUL. Now I see why they are never busy. STAFF-Clueless, stupid, rude, annoying FOOD- soggy, nasty, undercooked SITTING AREA- dirty, sticky areas of the floor and our table (before we sat down) LADIES BATHROOM-dirty, dusty, toilet paper all over the floor, water on he floor. THIS PLACE AND STAFF WAS JUST VERY NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISGUSTING AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEN ANYBODY TO EAT HERE FOR THE 3RD SHIFT. 1st and 2nd SHIFTS MAYBE, BUT DEFINITELY NOT THE 3rd OR AT LEAST THE 3rd SHIFT OF PEOPLE THAT WAS THERE 45mins AGO WHEN WE WENT. ITS THE WAFFLE HOUSE ON HWY 90 IN BILOXI BY SHAGGYS AND THE REEF/SKY...

Let me start by saying this is not about the food! Upon entering there were only 5 seats available at the counter. My husband and I sat down and waited to be asked for our order. That took maybe 5 mins, great. We got our sodas and waited. After maybe 5 more mins 3 more people entered and filled the last seats at the counter. The lady who took our order also took their order. After a 20 mins of waiting for us and 10 mins of waiting for the 3 people who were last seated they were receiving their food. I thought no big deal since maybe they got small stuff, NOPE! They all were handed 2 plates each. So I asked the lady was our food already being prepared she said yes. Ok so after about 5 more mins the guy on waffles said “hey Lexus, your two waffles are up!” She then proceeded to hand us our waffles. Now Im not sure how anyone else eat their food but we like our food together so we can eat it together not separately (btw, I had the all star and hubby ordered an omelette and waffle). As we wait maybe 3 more mins I asked the lady was the rest of the on the way. She replied yes. And proceeded to speak with the 2 ladies working the grill. After another 3-5 min wait, I asked could she tell me how much was the food in front of us 2 waffles and 2 sodas. AND NO WE DID NOT EAT THE WAFFLES AND I DIDNT TOUCH MY SODA. Hubby did drink his and got a refill but that was it. She exclaimed $14 so while I’m paying for the waffles and soda. She asked if I wanted to go boxes. Now if I didn’t ask for to go boxes before we got up to leave why would I want it now! We frequent Biloxi often and Waffle House is always our last stop before heading back on the road home. I was disappointed in the slow services and lack of communication between the workers and grill cooks. There is no way someone who came in 10mins after us got served and fed before we did after waiting 25 mins what a joke! NEVER AGAIN. AND NO WE DID NOT EAT THE FOOD! Well nobody could probably ever conceived of giving a Waffle House a five star rating and I'm not going to start that Trend here. Five stars usually cost a small fortune out of your wallet, but I will tell you that as far as these type of diners go, the one I spent time at this afternoon was pretty remarkable!!! Hey it says right on the beach,so from a few tables, you can still see the water, the sand and a few palm trees. Today there was a storm passing through and what a pleasure I had sitting inside enjoying a beefsteak sandwich on Texas toast, it was quite delicious! I was so unbelievably surprised and the waitress, she was friendly and so full of life, suggested maybe I could top my hash browns with something like cheese onions and chili. I thought, I have never actually done that let's go for it and it really made the meal, so for the time I spent today at this Biloxi Waffle House I would normally say yes give it five stars it was well worth every dollar I spent there, by the way was under $20. So if you're on the Mississippi Gulf Coast looking for a inexpensive meal and a friendly staff( very friendly) you would be well served to spend time with this one, sits right next to a couple other higher priced restaurants but sometimes you don't want expensive, you just want some comfortable food on a stormy day. The staff here deserves High marks!!! and I will come back and visit them...
