We arrived at Wahoo's on the boat after being out at the island for the day. We stopped here to get a drink as we normally do. There were 5 people in our group. One of the couples ordered 3 appetizers and 2 drinks. The other couple ordered 2 drinks also. I ordered my own drink. We all paid by debit card. The couple that paid for the appetizers accidentally dropped her card at the bar after paying and a very nice waitress brought it to our table. We shared the appetizers, finished our drinks, and then got back on the boat. We were pulling out of the Marina when we heard people yelling for us to come back. We turned around to get closer to hear what they were saying and one of the four security officers was standing in a very confrontational manner, hitting his fist into his hand in front of him. One of the big security guards then told us that the food had not been paid for. We explained to him that the food was ordered at the same time that the couple ordered their drinks, and James (the bartender) rang it all up and then brought it out to us at the table. Another gentleman noticed that our boot was taking on water which is why we left in the first place. We told them we paid and we needed to get back to Gulfport where our truck and trailer was parked so we couldget the boat out of the water. There was clearly an issue. They held us they are for about 20 minutes while people were watching and talking about us not paying our bill which clearly James failed to do his job and blamed it on us trying to leave without paying. The humiliation and embarrassment was absolutely ridiculous. I have never had an issue like this, and we bring our friends and family here all the time to enjoy the atmosphere but I do believe this has ruined us. The embarrassment alone was enough to ruin me. This could have all been avoided had someone donr their job correctly...

My buddies ordered some fish sandwiches or similar and I ordered a turkey club. The club was right up there with the shrimp. Real thick pieces of turkey, no lunch meat here! The fish on the other hand, all of it had to go back. It had a really bad smell and was definitely freezer burned. Although we couldn't prove it, they definitely weren't the correct species. We sent them back and the waitress said we weren't the only people to do so. She was quite upset because she felt it reflected badly on her and the company. The manager came by and did the right thing. He offered us more of those amazing shrimp. I wanted them but my buddies whose food was tainted had lost their appetite and turned them away. Sad day. Anyways, I had a great time and loved every bit of my food. Waitresses were very very polite and sweet about the incident. We felt horrible as we knew it wasn't her fault.
