I hate to be leaving such a dissapointed review but my feelings are hurt:( Me and my 3 year daughter and her dad came here for dinner, we arrived at 10 1 hour before close , we got sat by the host she was pleasant…. Our server kaitlyn said she’d get right with us and briskly walked past us after she saw us get sat …. she took care of the table right next to us , which I didn’t care , they were there before us … but She then took 15 minutes to finally get over to us and get our drink orders …..which took another 15 minutes for us to get them:/ At this point I was not frustrated … I’ve worked in restaurants and I know how dinner rushes can be . So We were very kind and patient with her …. but she would literally walk right past our table and ask the people next to us how there doing …. then walk right past us and not even acknowledge or look our direction….. Idk if it’s because we are a black family, and she assumed we wouldn’t tip so she gave us really careless poor service but that’s what it felt like ( for example I asked her on one of the few times she was at our table if my baby could get crayons she said she would but never brought her any ) …… when we got our apps they were not hot they were room temp and my wonton tacos had soggy spots on the usually crispy fresh shells I didn’t complain I was hungry so I ate them even tho it is a big health risk to eat food that’s not at the correct temp 165 or higher But even our entrees came out horrible the mash on our bourbon chicken tasted like instant potatoes that had been reheated in the microwave they barely put any sautéed mushrooms or onion like they gave us the last of what they had the “scraps” the usual juicy flavorful chicken was dry and plain and also wasn’t fresh the bourbon chicken usually comes smoking hot and they warn u not to touch the hot plate but she gave us no warning she knew that crap wasn’t right I told her how the food came cool and old tasting and she admitted that the cooks get “ lazy toward the end of the night “ which is not fair to us ! She took something off our bull but I honestly feel we should’ve gotten a full refund I would’ve asked but my kid had already ate some and so did her dad I didn’t touch my entree AT ALL I’m upset that I let my kid eat the food because it is a health risk Food Bourne illness is a thing and they should be taking it more serious instead of being so careless . Honestly they usually do fine when I come from 11a-3 but tonight was horrible I know what this location is capable of doing way better so this was a total let down The server The cooks the atmosphere was just so horrible tonight I wish I would’ve just cooked Now I’m worried my child is gonna have a tummy ache from the food ! Read moreThis Applebees seem fine, we (3 adults, 1 child) were sat in a timely manner. Waitress Amanda M. Took our beverage order, came back because she was confused about my Coctail order couldn't remember if it was a martini or Manhattan, returned again to ask if it was Gin or Vodka? Brought up 2 glasses of water for a party of 4 than took one away because of something. Brought incorrect drink for the child returned with correct one. We all ordered salad, exception child, which we never received until the end of our entree. My Caesar salad didn't arrive with the others. Waitress offered to deduct. At the end of dinner we received a combined Bill instead of two separate checks which we asked before ordering. Different waitress came and delivered and separated checks on table kiosk. Waitress Amanda came back collected plates from table and promptly spilled salad dressing on my Husband's $450.00 suit. Asked to see the manager, nothing happened, another waitress came by also asked again to see the manager. This gal abruptly retorted back, she's coming. Manager gave us a discount card to use at Applebees. We explained the situation to her, she informed us the General Manager was there, we asked to speak with him, waited and eventually the Manager returned with another discount card, compt our entire meal. Stated we could send them the dry cleaning Bill and they would think about how to handle it. She also informed us the General Manager was to busy to discuss this incident.
I am not a large fan of this chain because of bad tough steaks I've received, bad service and gave ignore statements of why they couldn't make a dirty martini. This Birch Run, Michigan chain may have been the worst run and disorganized restaurant with inadequate for servers.

Read moreNormally we have no problems at this location. The waitresses are always on point and the food is always good. Our waitress today lacked whats called people skills at least with our table. When we asked for something she seemed to act like it was a problem. Didn't ask how ask how our food was until we were almost done with it. My friend asked to not have the dressing on the salad and asked for a different kind and even though the other dressing was brought out the dressing that came on the salad was still there. If she would have checked on us before we were almost done we would have been able to inform her. The entire restaurants atmosphere was down and depressed like no one wanted to be there. Even the guy manager who brought out our drinks spilled a little on the table didn't say a word to us, not a hello nothing just sat them down and walked away.
5/16 Update
Was there again not to long ago, dreaded going since our last experience was so incredibly bad. Bailey, she was great, she is the type of waitress that us customers enjoying having around. She was tentative, patient while us girls caught up first before ordering. She checked on us, kept our drinks full and was just all around friendly. Thanks girl for restoring our faith back in Applebee's. We will be back...
