We tried it out for the first time today around 2pm. It had two thru lanes and both were full. It took around 8 minutes from the start of the line until we got the food but wait was mainly due to people reading there very big menu and not due to waiting on food. I did love the choices of options. I would recommend you view their menu online and decide what you want before you get there because you could become overwhelmed by choices if you see it for the first time. We spent around 7 dollars each. I got a drink, burger and dog. The other order was a chicken sandwich, slaw, onion rings and drink. The chicken patty was small and flat compared to other fast food. The slaw was in a small sauce cup and she only received three breaded onion rings. She said the taste was good but the potions small. My burger & dog were ballpark field quality in a good way. The taste was great and they were the perfect size. I also loved being able to customize what I wanted on both. I saw they had a walk up window for orders as well in case you didn't want to wait in the drive thru line. I think if you want a chicken sandwich you may want to go somewhere that focuses on it but if you have people who want different things from Corndogs to BBQ to Shakes then this is the perfect one stop place to make everyone happy.

First time at this location. I've only been to locations in Georgia before, who give military discounts. this was the first Cook Out that doesn't extend any discounts. late evening visit, after dark. the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. Inside was only one other customer when I entered. I ordered the chicken fingers tray with Walkin taco and NO SOUR CREAM. everything was good until a couple hours away in the car, sour cream was in it. I hate sour cream so that was a waste of money as it got thrown out. the milk shakes are more like Blizzards at Dairy Queen. you cannot eat/drink it with a straw. they are yummy though. over all the experience was good. the guy who took the order was polite. the only thing that was not good was the sour cream when specifically asked for it to not be on the taco. the bathroom needed some attention though as the garbage can was overflowing, telling me they don't keep an eye on it.

I was dying! I moved from Mobile to Birmingham and left my favorite restaurant behind. I was super happy when I got notified that a Cook Out was opening in Birmingham area. I can not get enough. It's so good! The food never disapoints and the price is spot on. The shakes are thick, nice fruit pieces and not too sweet. The peanut butter is awesome, peach is delectable, the blueberry was smashing and the seasonal eggnog was ravishing. There are so many flavors and its hard to decide every time. Check it out Birmingham... your missing out if you don't. This time I had two dogs n a simple burger, fried potatoes, fried cheese curds n blueberry shake.

This is by far the greatest place I discovered lately and wonder how I never knew anything about The Cook Out. Well let me first say if you have never been before well you got to go check them out apparently they have multiple locations around Birmingham and other cities and I put my word on it you won't regret it and if you do then they has to be something wrong with you lol seriously though. The customer service was absolutely awesome and was very kind if I rated the Customer service on a scale 1 to 10 definitely a 12 no joke very professional and courteous. Now let move on to the menu they have a wide range of options available just like the type food served at a cook out hence the name 😉 but now as me and a friend went together we purchased 2 hamburgers however we wanted it with whatever topping we chose 2 chicken sandwiches 2 taco salads in a nacho cheese chip bag 2 order of Cajun fries and 2 soft drinks yes we were hungry very hungry but left stomach full leaving us with take homes well now here the good part about all this food with everything together the total was only around $21.00 and I had to ask was that for each but no it was for both I was blown away by this how could all that only cost so little??? So I'm starting to be skeptical cause not only a nice establishment with great customer service that was very professional you now have all this food for such little money how could this be maybe the food really sucked and had no flavor has to be it but wrong a big Wrong at that the food was excellent with great flavor so now you got nice facilities with professional employees that has great customer service with a wide selection of menu items with such a incredibly low prices and the food was just as good. So I definitely will be coming back and back to the location near Hoover . "Don't miss out at The Cook Out". That's my slogan copyrights I...

This is my first and last time at trying this place, the "Cook Out". I have never encountered people more RUDE in any fast food place! The menu on the board is overwhelmingly packed with information which would take more than 20 mins to sort through, read and finally decide on. I didn't want to keep the person behind me waiting so I asked a question. The woman was short and gave me a half answer which then required that I ask a followup question. I asked my question. I got silence, total silence, nothing. I thought the intercom wasn't working so I asked again. Nothing. I said "hello, can you hear me?". I never raised my voice nor was I in any way speaking in an angry tone. Another minute of silence and then the woman says "Pull up!". That's it. No answer, nothing. I had no idea what she took down as my order l, what i was going to receive, because I didn't finish giving her my order because I never got an answer to my follow-up question. I start to pull up to the drive thru window and start wondering if I should just drive away or take my chances. At this point its 9:30pm, im hungry and pretty much every other place is probably already closed. So I pull up to the window and I'm about to ask her about my order as she opens the window but she immediately barks at me "$8.45!". I give her the money and I was again about to ask about my order but she immediately turns around starts to another employee as she slides the window to close it, then she grabs a bag, open the window, hands me the bag, and again immediately closes the window, turns around and continues talking to the employee employee, completely ignoring me. I sat at the window for a moment, stunned at her rudeness. I couldn't believe someone could be so rude without any reason! I finally just pulled away, got home, ate the cold burger half was. It wasn't what I wanted and it was...

God, where do i even begin. First up, the "lady" taking our order in the drive-thru started asking for our order before we even pulled up all the way. I tried to yell out the window that we weren't even at the board yet because the person in front of us was not pulled up far enough. When we did finally get to the board she would ask if we were ready to order LITERALLY every 4 seconds. Next, since it was our first time there (AND LAST) the order board was like reading hieroglyphics. there were so many things on the menu and none of them were set up in a way to where they made sense. The 2 Order takers took turns asking over and over and over again what our order was. I did not get what I wanted and honestly I don't know what i wanted because I couldn't understand the order board while being berated by two order takers, rushing us through. 3rd... When we did get to the window to pay, the cashier was rude and cold and shoved our order at us without saying a word. I would have been offended but I could see on her face that she has a permanent attitude and will likely be nothing more than a cashier, ever. If she worked for me she would not even last 1 hour... And she would be gone with her nasty attitude and Lee Press-On Nails that were sharpened into long claws. Also, if you're going to hire someone that is the face of your business, choose one that has a smile on it. 4th....the Hamburger was a bland. Boring. Forgetful. The cajun fries were cheap dime store crinkle cut Frozen "french fries", if you could call them that with a straight face. The Banana Pudding milkshake was pretty damn good. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty damn good..... The "service" at this location, is pretty damn bad. We...
