Jersey Bagel Deli &Grill — Restaurant in Birmingham

I'll start by saying that I think they have the best bagels in the area. Having said that, I think they get a zero in customer service and attitude. I'll relate my story. I ordered (at 2:58pm) on the To Good to Go app a dozen "mystery bagels" for $8. I got there at 3:02pm (the app says pick up 2:50-3:05pm). They're locking the doors as I drive up. A woman answers the door and says they have no bagels to give me. "Sorry, I can't help you". She argues with me that I had to order by 2:45pm. That's not on the app. So, I leave and go back the next day. The gentleman there says he can't help me either. He has only so many bags to sell each day and shows me that he has sold 4/10 today. He has plenty of bagels left. He tells me that I must call To Good to Go (a company registered in Denmark) to get a refund. "It's their fault" he says. Seems to me that everything that doesn't go accordingto plan is someone else's fault these days. Good customer service would have been to give 12 measly bagels (and tremendous goodwill) which I had already paid for. I would have left happy. Very rude and Racist I talked to the owner on a Thursday afternoon. He told me he will contact me Monday and I’ll come in and start work. He contact me Monday and asked me would I be able to come in Tuesday morning at 6:30 AM? I told him yes I asked when I’ll be getting paid or will I be starting work he said just training I have some lobby getting paid for training he said yes I get here at 6:30. Super impressive! I never know what to expect from a sandwich shop that I’ve never been to, but I absolutely LOVED my Greek salad with added chicken. Many places don’t even season the chicken or use iceberg lettuce and so I was happily impressed to see Romaine lettuce, and the chicken was so deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked as well. Also, my boyfriend loved his sandwich called The Jersey Rachel too. Many places like this often have coleslaw that leaves a lot to be desired, but I thought their coleslaw was perfect! I actually now want to try to figure out how to re-create it at home, it was that tasty. I love being pleasantly surprised by new places we pick to eat and HIGHLY recommend this sandwich shop!
