My husband and I went into the store in February and were told we could sign-up for a bundle offer - $50 for my internet, $90 for two phone lines and $99 for DirectTV if we switched over before the end of the month. We were also told we could trade in our iPhones for an upgrade and AT&T would pay-off the remaining balance. And finally, we were told as an added bonus, we would receive 2 $100 Reward Cards plus a free Roku Speaker. All-in-all this would save us over $250 a month plus a new phone and some perks - so we decided to switch. It has been NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!!! Four months later and we are being overcharged monthly for our internet and monthly phone bills and I have still not been reimbursed for my phone!! So, after four months of AT&T service we have paid over $400 than what we were promised, have only received 1 Gift Card and I had to payback Verizon $588 for my phone and AT&T has yet to reimburse me! IN TOTAL I AM OUT $1,088!!! - JUST FOR SIGNING UP FOR AT&T. I have made countless phone calls to AT&T and visited the store several times to get this straightened out. Each time I am told a different reason - one was the specific sales person did not process the account correctly, the.other was the discounts take a few months to kick-in, another was because they incorrectly categorized our account as a business account. It goes on and on. We are now going into June and this has yet to be resolved!!!! The amount of time and energy it has taken ME AS A CUSTOMER to try and get this resolved is absolutely inexcusable! I rarely take the time to write reviews unless I have a truly outstanding experience or horrible experience, and my visit to the Birmingham AT&T store (33729 Woodward Ave) certainly qualifies as one of those occasions.
From the moment I stepped into the store, I was warmly greeted by the staff, who were attentive and eager to assist. Unlike other locations where Iâve felt ignored, the team in Birmingham made sure that I was promptly attended to, creating a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.
On October 17th, I had a concern regarding my iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB. The staff member took the time to listen to my issues without any hint of annoyance. They provided clear and helpful information, guiding me through the process of checking my device and insurance status. Their professionalism and empathy were evident, making me feel valued as a customer.
When it came time to activate my replacement device on October 18th, the associate who helped me (MICHAEL SHAMOON) was knowledgeable and efficient. Within minutes, my phone was fully operational, and I was ready to go about my day. It was a refreshing change from previous experiences at other locations where I encountered delays and frustration.
The Birmingham store has consistently provided me with excellent service, which is why I keep returning. It was an emotional task to begin with and I had went to two other Att stores that displayed extreme a lack of providing a basic level of assistance. As a final attempt I called the Birmingham location and Devin took my call and told me he would absolutely help me get the account settled. When I arrived he took the time to apologize for how I was treated at the other two locations and assured me that he would be able to assist. The main take away is that he could tell I was distressed trying to complete this business on behalf of my deceased mother and he was amazingly kind to me. As we spoke while this service was being switched over I mentioned how much I loved Earth, Wind and Fire and he steamed a EWF song for me on the stores music system!
