Panera Bread — Restaurant in Birmingham

This has been by far the worst experience I have ever encountered from "Ashley" a manager at Panera Bread! I simply cannot believe how dismissive and rude this company is to people who chose to spend their money at this location. I ordered over $200 for lunch for my team only to find out when I get there, 2 hours later that they haven't received my order. Then I'm told to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food which turned into 30 minutes. Only to find out I'm missing 4 meals. I called back and spoke with Ashley one of the managers and no apology for missing items from my order. She stated all she can do was issue me a refund. I know first hand that that is not "ALL" they can do. Why not offer to make what was missing? When asking for a refund, she asks me to call back in 30 minutes for my refund for an order they messed up. She said so she can help others that were placing their orders. But, I was JUST THERE and no one helped me... I had to wait... Ridiculous! Spend your money wisely... Maybe they will do better with smaller orders. Not orders from a small team. Next call is to their corporate office because I'm pretty sure "Ashley" wrote my credit card number down to process my refund later rather than...

We love Panera, at least we used to love it. The quality of the food has decreased, the politeness of the workers has decreased, the value for your hard earned money, in this horrible recession has not matched up. We ordered TWO Frontega Chicken Sandwiches and they were all bready, doughy and NOT toasted. We couldn't choke through it. There was very very little chicken and it was all bread and so much cheese you'd gag on it. The workers either didn't know how to perform their duties, to which they were paid to do, or they were just too lazy to even toast the sandwiches we PAID for. The broccoli soup was very watery and runny. I'm disappointed with both. We are so tired of paying so much for something and getting garbage. We pay so they may have employment, yet the workers are so lazy or inept they cannot toast the bread? We will take our money somewhere else. How disappointing to not enjoy dinner after working so hard for our money. Please stop hiring lazy and inept workers. If they can't do the job-especially handling the public's...

I pick up from this Panera a decent amount because my girlfriend likes it. I've probably had it 15 times in the last year, and not ONCE have they gotten my order right. N ot a single time. I conplain about it every time she asks me to get it. Wrong items on sandwiches all the time. Totally different sandwiches than what we order. Items left out. There were a couple of times where they completely missed my order after ordering online and I had to sit there in the store while they made it. Today I got a bread bowl that had a tiny sliver cut out of the top, not enough to pour soup in. The service sucks pretty much consistently since I've been going here. The staff seem to be mostly teens/young adults who don't care about whether your food is right. Food is mid at best even for Panera and they're often out of a lot of things.
