I have ordered a Samosa(06/30/23)(Two orders) to go and they gave me on time but the problem was samosa was bad(the potato mash was old) and was smelling like very old and rotten. When I called them and went back with complete food and explained them the actual problem. But the funny thing was they(he took food inside to verify with all) were not accepting the fact, rather said it’s feel good to us.
I told, might be you don’t wanna accept but it is not good, and immediately he grabbed fresh Samosa and that was good and fresh. I requested when this was made?(he said this one is from next batch) also - I’m going to pay for another set but do you mind having that returned food for me since you guys not accepting the fact, or ask your chefs to eat? And I’m going to have this fresh one and let them or you can have that. Also if you finish I’m ready to pay $100 right away if so.
I must suggest everyone to keep the food and safety department numbers so that anytime this happens call them(I did it too) and ask them to verify so that all restaurants who want to sell their old food to fool people should be address.
They shouldn’t play with our health. And please order only freshly cook food from here like Rice, Naan and lentils (they are good and I didn’t had any complaints so far). Please don’t ever order Biryani (because they don’t even know what is Biryani and how to make, instead they serve fried...
Read moreTop five reasons why one should not go to this restaurant... The waiter was so rude. Why do I say that? Reason: After ordering the main course, the waiter came up to us and said "Make some room guys for the food. Take your plates away". Now, where does one put the dishes if not on the small-for-four-people table? And, since when one cleans one's own table in a restaurant? The waiter as well as the manager were so ill-mannered. Reason: They literally threw the food on our table, and I really mean "threw" as if they had a million customers to attend to when there were just two tables to wait. The plates and cutlery are dirty. Seriously, as soon as I opened mine, there was cabbage or onion (I don't know what!) waiting for me on my fork ready to be eaten for they wouldn't wash it. The dishes are nothing like Indian. None of the food they served us was "Indian" It's not an INDIAN restaurant to begin with. Not that I have anything against Nepal or Nepalis, I don't get the point why would they claim to be Indian when they are not? Now, that was my experience with SITAR. Use your own judgement whether or not to go there. Good luck if you decide to...
Read moreIf you are here for nepali taste, please don't bother.
We tried Veg C Mo: Mo, Samosa And Pakora last night. Unfortunately; the quality was a disgrace as me and my friend both are not feeling good this morning.
I'd recommend the owner to please take the Nepalese items off the menu and remove nepalese restaurant title from Google maps or do some serious improvements. 🙏😞
Update: 01/21/24
I appreciate your swift response. My positive demeanor was mainly due to the Nepali server aligning with our background. However, the discomfort stemmed from the subpar quality of the Nepalese dishes, particularly the "Pakora" and "C Mo:Mo," evident in the attached pictures.
Though we refrained from immediate concerns due to your absence and the belief that reordering wouldn't resolve ingredient issues, our aim was not discounts. The review emphasizes the contrast between claiming a Nepalese Indian identity and the disappointing Nepalese food quality.
View this feedback as a professional opportunity to enhance culinary standards. We're open to revisiting if improvements are made, hoping for an authentic and delightful Nepalese experience at Sitar Indian...
