3 Strikes & Yer OUT! I was SO happy when I found out they were building this Wendy's near my home. Couldn't wait for it to open! Boy, was that a mistake!
I went in for my very first time the week they opened this location. Usually, there is a "Training" Staff in place for a week or two when a "chain" location of this level opens to ensure that the regular staff that will man this location day by day are able to turn out the goods, quickly, correctly, and meeting our exceeding the company's standards and expectations.
I don't know IF the "Training Staff" ALL got arrested together, and all of them were sitting in a cell together or what but 3 days after this place opened, I went in and ordered a double, cheese only, regular fries, regular drink. I got, a loaded double, small fries that looked like they were on their fourth dunking in the fryer, and a small drink. I carried it back up to the counter and again, re-placed my order with the same person. No apology, concern or anything else for that matter. I went back to my table and waited. Shortly, the "Manager", and for identification purposes only, a pleasant, short, very round, black man, brought my order to my table. He apologized, and I thanked him. I got... a regular drink- correct, a small fry that was one "fried together lump"- incorrect, and when I unwrapped my burger, it was a plain single, meat and bread only, no cheese-incorrect.
The next time the "Manager" walked by, I politely requested his attention, and then I explained to him that this was their second attempt at getting my order correct, as it had been ordered, and so far, my drink was the only item this time that was correct. He apologized and asked what I had ordered and I repeated my order to him. Off he goes... a few minutes later he arrives with the correct size of fries, although I swear they were the same "ball" of fries I had before with a few extras poked in beside the "ball" and then shoved into the larger frie container, I kept my drink, so now it was time to see what awaited me beneath the mystery wrapper... they got the double right, the got the cheese only right, but they had literally turned both patties into charcoal briquettes they were SO overcooked.
I called the "Manager" back to my table, showed him my twin hockey puck sandwich, said "Is medium rare a possibility?", and without saying a word, he picks my sandwich up and heads for the grill. I don't know what was said OR who the grill guy was ticked off at, me, or the "Manager", but this time when he brought me my sandwich, I asked him to stay so that he could see, firsthand, "whatever" I unwrapped this time. I peeled back the paper, saw 2 pieces of cheese, and when i lifted my bun top for a better peek, I was greeted by 2, for the sake of this review, I'll call them "RAW" hamburger patties. I looked at the "Manager" and his eyes were bugged so far out of his head, so I could say was "Thank you, but 3 strikes and your OUT!" And I left,...
Read moreWe visited this location today but for the last time. I say we and our friend Mr. Norris was with us on this visit also. As we parked our van we first noted 2 people standing outside the door. As we got out to go in to pay cash for food these 2 standing started asking us for food or money to eat. We told them "No." We went up to the counter and placed our orders. Orders were placed and we were ask for a name to bring our order out. When the woman that took our order brought it to our table as they were to do so she ask for tip. Fast foods doesn't get tips. I told her "What tip?" I owed her no tip! We'd paid $11.76 for the food as it was then after I eat mine it made me sick. What really took the cake was instead of the manage running those bums off he goes outside to smoke and started talking to them. He never ran them away from main doors as a manager should. On top of this all those 2 bums stood outside the window close by the door watching us eat. We didn't go there to be upset by bums that manager needed to remove. Also, There were bums inside laying across tables asleep and one on his cell phone with no purchases on their tables. What's this! We bought our food and then was put through this!!! We wouldn't even give this place 1 star if we could get...
Read moreI got yelled at by the employee working the drive-thru intercom!!! I couldn't understand what he said and he yelled again "you got to come in we're doing shift change"âŠ.. first of all I will never purposely walk in to a hostile situation!!! If you're yelling at me over the intercom, what are you going to do when I get inside??? I pulled around to the window to explain to the young man that I simply did not understand what he said and he did not have to catch an attitude. I asked for the manager and he got some lady I tried to explain to her that I got yelled at for nothing and she said" it don't matter you still got to come in" at this point I asked for her name and she said it was Andrea but then some big girl or transgender or whatever the right title for it was said" you ain't got to tell him nothing..". I have never seen more unprofessional , ghetto, service in my life!!! What company hires employees and allows them to completely disrespect the customers??? I only got one name Andrea the other two did not have name tags on and all three of them refused to give me a corporate number!!! I can't imagine what would have happened had I actually gone in !!! To anybody that reads this post...
