PK's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Blacksburg

I love PK's atmosphere. Every time I go in there. It's not too crowded too often and on some days especially in the summer there's not many people in there and service is often quick.

You can just walk in there and sit yourself where you want in front of what TV you want. They have two really nice HD TV's which are my favorite ones to watch from since there are usually plenty of open seats. If there is a particular game you want and no one else is watching, you can just ask for them to change to it.

A waitress is usually there within a minute or two of you sitting down to take your order. However there have been a few times if it's more crowded where it takes a while before someone takes your order.

The food is awesome. They have a lot of good food. I love their garlic bread sticks as an appetizer since it's only like $3.00 for 12 which is a great deal. Every Thursday they have wing night I think unless it's changed. They have good pasta. I haven't tried the pizza yet but I heard its good. They have a huge selection of alcoholic drinks and I tried several that were excellent.

Sweet Tea is my favorite beverage to get, it's just so good.

I just love the atmosphere. It just is a very nice and very chill bar to go to watch sports downtown. Excellent food. Between PKs being 'seat yourself' and it being a very busy football Sunday, I was understanding of needing to clean off our own table. We waited a decent amount of time before just deciding to try and order food at the bar. The bartender was really nice and helped us get food orders placed in a reasonable amount of time given the volume of customers.

What I found unacceptable was after returning to our table, we watched for about 30 mins while the three servers checked on other newly seated tables and took orders. We watched the three servers get drinks to other customers and basically never make eye contact with us. When we finally asked one of them (the only guy working as a server on today) for water he eventually put out a Gatorade cooler of water and sat plastic cups next to it but never came back to our table then continue to bring food/drinks to other tables.

I understand things being busy and slow, but being the only table not looked at/checked on/offered drinks/ any service by any of the three servers the same way as the other tables after like 40 mins felt like the establishment just didn't want 'us' there so we cancelled our...

Very disappointed in PK’s… my boyfriend, myself, and his co workers were at a table and they decided to have my boyfriend kicked out (who btw was sitting next to me and did nothing wrong). I had to re-enter the bar and fight the staff (who told me I wouldn’t like the answer as to why my boyfriend was kicked out, as they stand up for each other even if they’re wrong) as well as the manager to tell me why he was kicked out. According to the bartender, “he was slouched over and too intoxicated”. Shocked that 1 beer could do that to my 230lb boyfriend. Completely embarrassed my boyfriend for absolutely no reason and got very snippy with me for wanting an explanation. I fully own up to when my boyfriend has had too much, but I can guarantee that this was not one of those times. I would love to speak with the owner to discuss this situation in hopes that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. But as a new resident of this town, I will definitely never...
