One of the employees was incredibly rude. After not getting my food for a while, I went and asked about my order number. Employee said he had already completed it and someone had taken it. I told him that I had not gotten my food, to which he responded by telling me one of my friends (sitting right next to us) took it. I pointed out that none of them had what I had ordered, and he accused me of lying about it. The older employee was friendly and offered to make it for me, but I was disappointed by how rude the younger one was. The food itself was fine, nothing to write home about but fairly decent, especially for late night...

The new post-rebrand management is much less friendly than what once was at Black Salt. They also don’t work the claimed hours; the single employee working on Sunday @ 10 PM refused to make the order claiming “we don’t take orders at this time.” In addition, the “slake sauce” that is supposed to come with the fries is never put on the plate unless you verbally ask for it. Slake is one of my favorite late-night food spots. They have a wide selection of food, my personal favorites are the smash burger and the chicken and rice platter. The serving size is perfect with more than enough food to leave you full and just enough to take home as leftovers. The atmosphere is cozy with warm ambient lighting and a modern touch to the interior, plus an absolute fireeeee playlist. Shoutout to the lady at the front! Amazing...
