On May 13, 202, I attempted to receive service that would include “safely handling food” at the Dunkin’ Donuts location located at 548 Broad Street in Bloomfield, NJ. I waited inside the restaurant by the front door, which gives a view of the kitchen in the rear, for approximately 3 minutes. A female employee came to the front to provide service. I provided my order, which included two bow-tie donuts. Without the use of the safety paper provided, the employee attempted to grab my donuts with the same gloves she was handling items in the back with (there was a visible mop and bucket), adjusted her mask with, and keyed in my order with. I told her to stop before her gloves made contact with the Donuts I wanted to purchase. I informed her that handling my food while doing the things previously listed was unsanitary, and not appropriate food safety/handling measures. She told me to relax…I told her that “I did not want to purchase anything anymore”, and she said “fine leave go”. This is the second time during this time frame that I had to tell an employee to handle my order in a safe and sanitary manner. The first time this occurred was approximately 3 months back with a male employee. He too attempted to hand me a donut using the same gloves he was handling other items with. That employee handled things differently. He threw the donut away, and gave me a new donut using the paper provided. Nonetheless, I didn’t return at that hour until today. I have not seen this occur during any other hour. This morning, I left a voicemail with Michael Fitzpatrick of the NJ Department of Health, (Bloomfield office).I also, sent an email to Dunkin’ Donuts customer service notifying them of what occurred. Bottom line, unsafe food handling, and poor...
Read moreI never in my life could believe that someone would sell this to a person. I got home all excited cuz I haven't had a caramel craze signature iced latte in a long time. But I was also hungry so I decided to get and everything bagel with the vegetable cream cheese. I can't even pull the insides out like normally when a bagel is a little too to toasted you can help at least eat the insides cuz they're soft. This has nothing to do with the level of toasting because it's toasted perfectly. But this Bagel is hard as a rock. I almost want to bring it back and throw it on the ground so they can hear how it hits the floor. If I had more time right now I would. You can tell in the video how hard it is I'm just hoping that I can post the video here. If I could have been this a 0 or a negative 100 I would. I will never go to this Dunkin' Donuts again. And my boyfriend's croissant was hard too but at least it was edible. Even though he chose to just eat the egg and cheese out of it because it was too hard for his liking. Mine I just threw in the garbage. The coffee was the same as it always says...
Read moreThis place is a prime example of how you demonstrate to your staff, how not to display customer service. I've been here a number of times not by choice, but because it was convenient. Every time I come here the location is usually customer free with 5 employees behind the counter. Still I have to wait a minimum of 5 minutes to be acknowledged before they decided to take my full order of a single coffee and toasted muffin. Completely discouraging for any customer. But what drove me to post a review is that today I walked in and saw a woman upset that she was waiting an extraordinaryly amount of time and no one had acknowledged her either. When she voiced concern an employee who identified himself as the supervisor told her if she didn't like the service she could leave. I was disgusted at hearing those words from a person in charge of an establishment. The woman stormed out of there and this was the final straw for me. I will gladly avoid this location and possibly avoid the chain overall. I am completely disgusted with their dismissive attitude and lack of...
