James is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve had the pleasure of being served by at Pour Bros. As a bartender myself, I know how much effort it takes to provide top-tier service while juggling a busy crowd, managing drink orders, and maintaining a positive atmosphere. James does all of that effortlessly. His ability to read the room and engage with customers—whether they’re regulars or first-timers—creates an inviting experience that makes you want to keep coming back.
Not only is he efficient, but he’s also genuinely knowledgeable about the drinks he serves and always willing to make great recommendations. You can tell he takes pride in delivering a well-crafted experience, not just a drink in a glass. Even when it’s packed, James never loses his cool or lets the quality of service slip, which as someone in the industry, I truly respect.
Pour Bros is lucky to have a bartender like James representing their brand. He’s an example of what good hospitality should look like. I always look forward to stopping by and having a great experience because of him. Keep up the...
Read moreDisappointing.
There used to be another arcade bar at the same location, 8-bit, that place had decent selection of local craft beers, a solid selection of local food offerings - everyone say hi to Butch's White - and they had a tremendous selection of arcade cabinets from classical games to newer items, including things like a working four-player Simpsons cab, multiple Street fighter variants, plus a decent selection of board games, all free play.
The new place has... Markedly fewer game offerings, the prices are terrible - I'm not interested in paying a dollar a round for pinball - and the classic cabinets are very limited. If you want to place to get drunk while you play skee ball, this is probably it, but if you're looking for the actual 8-bit arcade bar experience I would suggest going to the actual 8-bit in Peoria.
If the arcade part of the experience doesn't matter to you, it's a decent enough bar, services acceptable, it's clean, and they have enough offerings for you to be able to indulge in a...
Read moreThis place charged me for cups filled with foam. I complained to the bartender who said "Why didn't you tell me?" I stated,"I did tell you and showed you the cups of foam as I walked out to the patio.
He stated he was refunding my tab and charging half, but we were charged over $157 for maybe 7-8 beers. Really hard to tell since we were charged for foam.
Never going back and reporting the charges as fraud.
Update: $100 was refunded back to my account. Therefore we ended up spending almost $60 for at most 8 beers. This is a place where you have to serve yourself and the bartenders barely do anything. Prices should be lower because the customers are doing the work, and when the kegs are spewing nothing but foam you will be charged for it.
I'd rather go somewhere where a bartender has to get rid of the foam and serve a...
