I went here with a group of friends, and we arrived shortly after 11am. On the website, it says they serve breakfast until 11:30. We went here specifically for the breakfast egg rolls, but when we got there, we were hesitantly told they only served breakfast until 11. We decided to dine in for lunch anyways, as we were short on time and had driven out of our way to try this restaurant. There were probably 2 other parties at the tables when we got there, and it took about 40 minutes for our food to come out. In the meantime, I realized I had forgotten to order an appetizer, so my friend went to place that order, just to find employees around a plate of food right behind the counter. A few minutes later, we overheard another waitress tell her table they no longer served breakfast, but were still serving breakfast egg rolls. This was extremely upsetting, as we were simply told breakfast wasn’t an option anymore, and that item was specifically what we came for. We decided to order breakfast rolls on top of our food once we heard this, but our waitress then came back to tell us they no longer had the breakfast rolls we wanted, so we decided to just stick with our original order. Finally the food came out, and my friend’s took an extra almost 10 minutes. We were told they were waiting on her fries, and by the time her food arrived, her egg rolls were nearly cold. We told both aforementioned waitresses that we were there for the breakfast egg rolls and were told breakfast was over, and neither of them seemed to care. I tried their truck at the Thaw Out festival and it was great, but these egg rolls were very mediocre, and I would not wait that long for them again. Overall very poor experience.
EDIT: the response from the restaurant was extremely unprofessional, will definitely not ever be giving them business again. You must have us mistaken for the wrong people, or you just didn’t read what my review said. We were never rude (I STILL left a tip even with awful service), and I was simply stating what happened and that there could’ve been resolutions offered that weren’t (which persists yet again). You didn’t cook anything for me “outside of the timeframe” like you claim. My party & I all ordered lunch menu items, we only asked about breakfast once we heard it offered to someone else. I took a trip to Blowing rock October 17th 2021 and placed my ordered via phone for my egg rolls when I was 15 minutes away from the shoppes on the parkway. The lady who took my order told me it would be ready in 15 to 10 minutes. I got there 15 mins after ordering my food, to pick my order up and had to wait 30 more minutes before I got my food, no apologies or any customer service for the delayed service or inconveniences on it being longer than I was advised.. just some feedback for the company. How your staff talks and their actions represents your company. Your front staff walked and talk like they didn't want to be there. One used unprofessional language, cursing about other customers as they walked by me. I have worked in the food industry and having Air pods in while waiting on customers is unprofessional and really show you have low expectations for your employees. Having a child under the age of 14 delivery food to tables is also not professional. That child never washed or sanitized their hands before delivering the food trays. I understand not having child care and having to bring your child to work. I know you are a small business but you should have expectations and boundaries for your employess. My the biggest disappointment of all was your Thankgiving egg roll. When I got it last year it was delicious, It had real turkey in it, this year you used turkey sandwich meat, it really doesn't live up the expectations of your other egg rolls. it makes it seem cheap and lazy. Now this is not ment to prevent new customers from trying your egg rolls, becuase they are good and delicious but I now only recommend they go to the food truck to get them, that what I will be doing from now on. I left this review on their Facebook page and their employee and company was very immature and wanted to argue and the company claimed they called my HR and Sherriff for Slander for this review that I left from a personal experience. He was NOT targeting your business, period! And you had to be a baby, and report him to Google, ha! You will probably report me to, I hope you do! And we were there! Guess you didn't like the truth! Food was decent but not worth what we paid, when the so called Belgium Waffle, was clearly an Eggo Waffle and we had to ask our waitress for every single thing! No syrup brought to the table and when she gave me the waffle, she just said, here's your waffle... and walked off! Just totally un bothered! Terrible customer service! I was excited to eat there, and had praised ya'll to my husband about your food truck, well what a total let down! The hashbrowns were like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, not even eatable, even with ketchup! Toast was dry and we weren't even asked if we would like some butter or jelly... un real! I'm sure you are un bothered as well, but word of mouth travels just as quick as social media and trust me when I say, I will post our experience there to every site I can, and tell people as well, and that IS a promise!
