While vacationing in downtown Blowing Rock, NC for my husband's and my birthday we visited Blowing Rock Market many times. They had a nice selection of wines and beer along with a wonderful sandwich shop. Outside they had sitting area with a firepit and lots of rockers and table and chairs. On Saturday they had some local talent singing as well...very good. While hanging out on Saturday we were privileged to meet Lee Oval Jaynes. If you're not a sports fan this man is still worth Googling. He had an amazing career in sports. He is now in his 80's but still so very sharp. My husband talked to him for probably 2 hours. You just never know who you'll meet at the Blowing Rock Market so you might want...

Gentleman who was working was nice, they had good options for cooked food, drinks and dessert. I really enjoyed the freshly baked bread I bought there made by a local bakery. I couldn't find any inexpensive wine bottles. The large rotten pumpkin on the outside display was unpleasant, but everything else was good. I was happy to find good local craft beer there. Would be nice if they had a few more options for local souvenirs, like shot glasses. But I will definitely stop by when I am up there again for the local goods. I enjoyed my visit and was happy they stayed open a couple hours later then everyone else with...

We enjoyed their veggie sandwich the first day and a breakfast sandwich the 2nd day. I would have to say the 4 or 5 staff all seem overloaded but tried to offer the best service they could, although it seemed it was a bit unorganized. The customer line was unending. I could see things that could have been improved upon ( like having a specific member responsible to be more attentiveness to coffee, wiping up messes, emptying overfull trash cans everywhere inside and out, all of which seemed to be low on the priorities). Both times we went there the coffee carafes was out and we had to wait for the pot...

Cool little market and deli right on Main Street in Blowing Rock. They have a deli for sandwiches and generally a couple soups. They stock a ton of craft beer and have 5-6 beers on tap. They also carry a decent selection of wine. There some general groceries - milk, eggs, etc along with various locally made breads and sweets. They also have a Lady Fingers freezer with ‘take and bake’ items which is great. They have gone back and forth on gas and on this last visit they had one pump but no gas on either side. They have limited seating inside and out. BLK spot!👍🏻👍🏻

We enjoyed stopping here for lunch. The sandwiches were great and the vibe was too. We got our sandwiches to go and had a picnic nearby but I would have enjoyed sitting on the patio just as much. It was large and spacious. There was live music and best of all- the patio is pet friendly. Take note- Inside the store in the back left corner are coolers which have take and bake meals for families- and they looked great! I wish I had seen better advertising for them as I definitely would have tried those. (The coolers are marked Ladyfingers)

We drove up to see our son at Appalachian State University so we did some exploring. This was our first time visiting downtown Blowing Rock. There was a Halloween event, kids all dressed in costumes. It was adorable! We walked in to the market to get some water & I was impressed with the store. I love the fact that you can get yourself something to eat and drink & enjoy the outside seating in the middle of everything this town has to offer. This is the most ideal location & I took pics to show what they offer in their market. Enjoy!
