We got married on 8/23/2025 in Blue Springs MO. We hired Olive Garden to cater half the food. Which we were advised NOT to do by multiple other vendors and even gustes. I have always enjoyed Olive Garden and their food so I said I would give it a shot.
I sadly will have to say I do regret doing so.
We spent over $1,100 and we were told we didn’t pass the threshold for leaving 1 employee with the food to keep it stocked. When I asked what the amount was I wasn’t given an answer. I tried to put our order in online but because the order was over $800 I had to call it in. When I called I advised there were allergies for some guests and Cody the Manager stated he noted that. Cody was nice and seemed to have experience.
When I told them they were only half of the wedding food and we were using them to help with the guests that prefer to not eat meat they understood. I told them what the setup was supposed to be and asked if they could put a duplicate set up in the kitchen and keep the food on the warmers in the back to help rotate it out and keep it warm. Cody said they could do that. I said if they needed to use the ovens they could put food in there as well.
I probably wasted $400 on them which is a huge loss as we were cutting our finances close for the wedding budget.
The staff showed up gave me a receipt and then setup. They didn’t tell me or anyone in the wedding party where they put the extra food and didn’t follow my set up instructions.
They put cooked food in boxes on the FLOOR under the food table which was covered so no one knew where they food was. Luckily the other vendors saw it and told my family so they could rotate the food out.
Many guests stated they didn’t want to eat the food as they saw it was in a box on the floor for many hours and were nervous of sanitary purposes.
I am happy to eat Olive Garden in the restaurant as it is always wonderful.
I will have to say for Catering purposes I would have to put it...
Read moreFirst of all I am a fan of your restaurant chain. But it has been a while since I have been to one. So I hopped on your website and saw Fettucini Alfredo on the menu for less than $14. I called to order the food immediately. When I placed the order it was just under $19. I was then told it wouldn't be ready for 40 minutes. I was considering canceling the order because I order all over town for pick up orders and they are ready in 15 minutes. Piping hot when I arrive. Including pasta dishes. So I wait and when I get there at the time I was given. I paid the $22 (I had enough courtesy to tip your employee). And see that the portion was no bigger than an order from Fazolis. The fact that the price was listed for under $14 came off of the website. Which can easily be changed. By the time I got home. I pull out the container of food. Only to realize there were no plastic utensils. I was shocked. First the menu price on the website was misleading. Second the parking lot when I arrived was practically empty. So the fact I was made to wait 40 minutes did not sit well with me. Third I paid over $20 for a portion I would expect to receive at a lesser venue. Third I was given 2 pieces of garlic bread that was warm but stale. Finally Olive Garden who easily buys utensils in bulk given their number of locations. Wouldn't think to include them with my meal. Which I can't see them saving that much on a $20 pasta meal with sauce and undersized. So if overtime this is what I can expect from your once family friendly restaurant. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. And truth be told the fettucini was the equivalent in taste to a lesser competitor. I am not one to right a negative review but Olive Garden. You left me with little choice. And I hope this experience will encourage you to make some appropriate changes. So you only end up losing one customer rather than just myself. Thank you...
Read moreLast night the wife and I decided to use our OG gift card we received for Christmas from a friend. While on the way there, I pulled up this store in my iPhone maps to check their hours and was surprised to see that through Yelp, this location has only three stars. To me that was surprising as we have been here a few times over the last couple years and always had a good exprience.
In any case we went to dinner and had a great time. Bryan B was our server and did a great job. He was attentive but not "in your face". We were being a little difficult with our order trying to mix and match our meals, but he was patient with us and knowledgable of the items on the menu.
Shortly after placing our order the manager came out to apologize for not having some cheese stick appetizer item and told us he would comp our fonduta appetizer. We had not ordered the cheese sticks and had no idea what he was talking about. We just figured that he was confused and the were being overly nice cause my wife had tried to swap the steak out for chicken on here meal. Something we didn't really expect them to do nor were we upset in any way. So we basically just smiled and nodded and told him it was ok. Then the manager asked if we were celebrating something. We told him yes, we were celebrating going out for dinner since we hadn't been able to for a while due to some medical issues i have. He then said he wanted to celebrate with us by comping one of our entrées. About five minutes later, our server came up and told us the mistake. That the manager had come to the wrong table. Apparently the table behind us was throwing a hissy fit because they had run out of mozzarella sticks an hour before close. How dare they?!?! In the end the manager still comped my entree of lobster filled ravioli and Tuscan sirloin as well as...
