My mom and I ordered Chipotle after going to the gym on Saturday night. We got our order placed for 7:15pm pickup at the Blue Springs location and made our way there. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the large crowd of people waiting inside the restaurant. We went inside at 7:15pm and found out they were still doing orders that were supposed to be done at 6:30pm. You could tell just by looking at everyone’s faces that all the customers there were far from happy. The employees seemed like they were in no hurry to get the orders finished. They seemed to be focusing on the customers that were walking in to order in store, as they were pushing through the line while all of the people with online orders kept waiting longer and longer. People were actually getting tired of waiting and left with nothing. I’m going to guess those were delivery drivers or something, because I can’t imagine paying for Chipotle and leaving with nothing but who knows.
It was a Saturday night and this store only had 3 people on prep line, and 2 people in the back cooking. Nobody was on the dedicated online order prep area that they have. The girl that was doing the cash register seemed to be the sole person trying to fulfill the online orders at one point, and then she got lazy and decided sweeping the floors and straightening napkins was more important. An employee actually took a break at 8:00pm, sitting down at a table eating a burrito he made himself while they were still extremely backed up. Another employee proceeded to take a break to eat at 8:25pm, mind you, it was still backed up and many customers were still standing around waiting for their food. I’m not saying people shouldn’t be able to take breaks, but when you have customers that have waited over an hour for their food and we see you sit down with food you just made for yourself while our orders still haven’t been fulfilled, that looks like you just don’t care.
We didn’t receive our order until 8:33pm, over an hour and fifteen minutes after we were supposed to have received it. My mom asked the employee for chips and queso since we waited for so long and was told that they “Can’t give out free food” which is a total lie because I’ve been compensated for lessor inconveniences before.
I’ve ordered from a lot of different Chipotles in the area before, mainly Lees Summit, North KC up off of Boardwalk Ave, and the downtown Power and Light location, and I have never had any bad experiences at any of those that come close to the terrible experiences I’ve had at the Blue Springs location. The staff just doesn’t seem to care at times, and it doesn’t help that this place is seemingly always understaffed on top of that. I would love to say this is the only time I’ve waited this long at this Chipotle, but this has happened on multiple occasions, and has happened to many of the people I know, both for in person, and online orders. The management at this place needs to be revamped because they’re obviously not cutting it. I would 100% order from a different Chipotle if there was one close, but seeing as this is the only one within a solid 20 minutes or so, I’m stuck dealing with the mediocrity that this location brings to the table every single time I...
Read moreMy order was placed online through the app and set as a scheduled pickup. About half an hour later, I arrived at the restaurant 2 minutes prior to pickup time. I noticed there were a few bags on the counter/shelves but they weren’t mine. That was fine, I went ahead and asked about my order as it didn’t seem as though any other orders were being fulfilled at the time. Initially, the employee was confused and asked me about other names that were in the computer (besides mine). My order was then started after specifying the name a couple of times. Although, I must ask what the point of ordering ahead is when it’s still not started until you get there practically at the pickup time? Regardless, mistakes happen. No big deal.
A few minutes later, the employee handed the order to me and as I was walking out I noticed it had someone else’s name on it and said “Uber Eats.” I took it back and the employee said it was the correct order but the wrong receipt was printed onto the bag. She looked inside of the bag to confirm this, and I noticed my order had guac but was missing the large chips I had added. She then told me that they were out of chips. I thought it was strange that her original plan was to hand me the bag and have me leave without telling me about an item that was paid for but not included on their end… I also had to ask about details regarding receiving a refund as that was not brought up by her, either. I was told I “should” be able to get one via the app (I received a couple of chips/guac rewards, no actual refund — also, they are only valid for a month even as “refund” items).
Once home and finishing up the food, there was a hair that had been in the guac that made its way into my mouth. Not the best feeling ever. June 6 2021 at 4:19 we reserved our order finally. My wife been waiting in line for 37 minutes I'm waiting with t bgg e kids in the car then I just saw a man parked beside us order online got off his car picked his order and drove off in 5 to 7 minutes it took him. And as always we are shocked , don't blame the employees blam the MANAGEMENT.
So I got there dining inside with wife and kids my wife been standing for ever and nothing employees with negative attitude slow acting they don't want to be there mean while I took the kids and the place is TRASHED not exaggerating I took pictures + I called the manger (a young lady) about we want to set me and the kid but trash is everywhere, she responds and I quote: we don't have people just standing for that. Omg! Now I know where is that bad experiences and horrible reviews from where. # Management. Please make sure to see the pictures.
This is the 4th time not (going over) that they didn't had fajitas and just blowing you off and pushing you to move ahead and : oh well or we will make it soon but it going to take long.
