Happy and disappointed at the same time. We decided to go with the conference center for our daughter's quince last year in hopes that it would take most of the stress off our hands during the event so that we could enjoy the night. Everything turned out beautiful minus the small details (like the centerpiece candles never being lit) However, we were very disappointed that after paying so much money for the services, we were bothered the entire night with so much. We were required to pay for security obviously and after one small altercation occurred between a couple teens, they closed our bar down without reimbursement at all. There were many kids at the party and underage drinking was not encouraged or allowed so to punish the ADULTS that were there to enjoy the party was a big let down. The open bar option is not cheap and nowhere in our contract did it say they would stop serving drinks if an altercation occurred. None of the guests were drunk or belligerent. Also, if you choose the buffet option know that they will only put out the exact number of plates so you cannot go back through the line. We were told that the chef would put out enough food for our final guest count and when we ran out that was it. Not the case. Make sure you get everything in writing. I wish I would've documented what we were "sold" vs what we were serviced that day, but hindsight is 20/20. I am not a person to leave reviews but this was our experience. My husband and I were stressed the entire night (even though the staff kept trying to bring us drinks to "make it better" instead of just re-opening our bar. I don't drink, I was sober.) During the meetings with the sales director comments were made that they stopped wanting to host Quinceañera's because people wouldn't pay or because of how the events turned out. That whole conversation that continued was very offensive to our culture. I wish I would've stopped the planning that day. We felt as though we were being judged the entire night by the staff and will definitely not go this option again in the future for any of our family events. Si estas planeando una quinceañera no...
Read moreI was at the Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment Awards Banquet on Sunday, January 12th, and the room was far too crowded. Normally, there are 10 per table, but this year there were 12 per table. It was so crowded that is was difficult to walk between tables. The food came out with no covers and was cold. A huge pile of mashed potatoes, the driest chicken, with a puddle of white sauce. No gravy for potatoes and green beans. Large cookie for dessert. This was my fourth year and very disappointing for our senior year. You can do...
Read moreWell, to be transparent, I did not stay the night and I'm glad I didn't. lol We were there for book fair event and it was so freaking hot. There was a good amount of ppl, but not that many to have an issue. I know because I went and told them what was wrong and how to fix it, they called maintenance to come check it out. They told us it was because of the ppl. No, it was definitely their system. It never got fixed and that company hosting the event lost a lot of ppl to the hot giant sauna room we were forced...
