Unfamiliar with Thai food?  Well, in my opinion, it's the BMW quality of traditional Chinese food.  When prepared properly, Thai food is utterly fantastic...a party for your pallette!

Unsurprisingly this small, quaint THAILAND cuisine restaurant is owned and operated by authentic Thai natives.  It is a simple-to-find, unique treat from start to finish because it is in an uncrowded strip mall on 7 Hwy at 719 NW ROUTE 7, UNIT B, in Blue Springs, Missouri.   So on I-70, take EXIT 20.  You'll see the KC CHIEFS QB Patrick Mahomes' endorsed hamburger joint called Whataburger on the right.  Drive just 2 blocks South to discover THAILAND RESTAURANT heaven.

Ironically, for about the same price as Whataburger's mass-manufactured combo meal, you can enjoy a delightful, individually prepared Thai food "carnival"!   If like me, for dinnertime, you'll probably want to couple your menu entree choice with a hefty  glass of tasty wine or other spirit.  Just about any food selection on the THAILAND RESTAURANT menu is a conversation piece, so fear not... Indulge! Their  service is attentive and free parking is ample but be prepared to wait a little bit if you arrive after 5:30-7:00cuz the tables fill quickly with frequent patrons (they already know how good it is).  Therefore, I strongly recommend that you make table reservations well in advance or place your order "to go".

Without question, THAILAND RESTAURANT makes the best Thai Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with a side appetizer of Crab Rangoon.  Both, "good enough to write home about" as we use to say. Today we say, " Damn good eatin'!"

Their portion sizes are generous, too.  Try it, you won't be sorry; it's DELICIOUS and you'll have plenty to take away to enjoy again the next day.  😉

Blessings to all who...

I eat lunch here 1-3 times per week and have never been anything but satisfied. I don't know Blue Springs very well, as I live in Kansas City. Starting in March 2017 the company I work for moved me to our Blue Springs location, which is in the same strip mall as Thailand Restaurant. I am very familiar with Thai food, as Asian cuisine is at the top of my list. That being said, when it comes to Thai, Thailand Restaurant is at the top of my list. I've had their Red Curry Chicken, Fried Rice, and my favorite, Chicken Pad Thai. All three are excellent and I havn't explored the rest of the menu simply because the Pad Thai is too good for me to pass up! It has a bit heavier peanut flavor than any other Pad Thai I've had, but this is just one of the reasons why it's the best in my opinion! Not only is the food excellent, but also budget friendly for those looking for a good real meal that doesn't break the bank. On top of all this, the staff is outstanding! Hospitable, delightful, and accommodating are just a few of the words I would use to describe them. Always a friendly face and greeting. As I said I am not to familiar with Blue Springs. However, based off my experiences as well as seeing how consistently busy they are daily, watching their guests come and go by handful. I have come to the conclusion that this has to be the best Thai...

The food is great; but the service is horrible. The first time I went the server talked me and my partner to the degree that we couldn’t enjoy our food. She constantly asked personal questions (where you live, work, etc.). The second time, we got there an hour before closing. The server rushed us in ordering and then told us what we do and don’t need for our meal choices. The worst part was her constantly talking to us while we are trying to eat our meal, then she packs our food into to go boxes without asking if we were done or wanted a to go box. The last (and final) time, I decided to do take out…wrong decision. I should have let them alone after the second bout of rudeness. My order was correct yet they overcharged me by seven dollars. They wanted to argue with me that they didn’t and when they realized they had made a mistake, they still wouldn’t reimburse me. As of today, I still have not been reimbursed. I will no longer be eating here or probably any other place in Blue Springs. This whole town sucks in the...

Our Pad Thai and Massaman curry dishes had some nice depth of subtle flavor, but as with our last time here, that flavor was absolutely clobbered by an over abundance of sweetness. It’s a candy-level sweetness that’s almost, maybe not quite, cloyingly so. This is not how the food is served in Thailand, at least in my experience, so possibly they’re adding extra sugar for the perceived American palette or something. I actually originally tried to order our dishes with less sugar, but was told the sauces are prepared ahead of time. In addition, the crab Rangoon was small, delicate — and overly sweet as well. On a good note, the service was similarly sweet — and quite responsive.

What’s important is the chef in the kitchen knows how to cook seafood! Pictures should suffice. Appetizers were fried calamari, spring and summer rolls. Yellow seafood (scallops, shrimp and calamari) curry for entree with medium spice. Plenty for 2 to share with onions and peppers and rice. Might have been fine with Mild Plus. Forgot to take a picture. Needed dessert to calm the heat. All delicious. Servers were attentive. They had a steady stream of takeout orders while we were there.
