I've been a fan of Firehouse for at least a decade. But since their acquisition by a newer parent company, things have tanked. Their menu has been modified slightly, and there are little aspects that have changed here and there. They just don't make it quite the same as it used to be. The easiest thing to note of Change is the lack of pickle supplied with sandwiches during my last order. but the main reason for this review is the state of the store in Blue Springs. When you walk up to the store, you can see it has a glass front which you can see there is trash and cardboard and tons of miscellaneous crap stacked up against the glass. When you walk in there is black soot dirt everywhere. I really can't explain what the dirt is other than it's not construction dirt, it's not dirt from the weather, it appears to be long time built up sludge on every surface of the store. The last couple times I've walked into the store. I've noticed that there were issues, and I've noticed that the staff is all over the place, but doing nothing. Read moreMe and my family pulled into the parking spaces out front around 8:30 Friday night. We were going to order 5 meals to go. There was a young girl cleaning the tables by the front window when we pulled in who started scowling and mouthing things at us clearly unhappy that we showed up. I understand it was close to closing time but usually restaurants start cleaning up after closing time not before. We decided not to even go in because she stood there and scowled at us while we were inside our car for almost a whole minute. It was clear she didn't want us to eat there. Message received. As we pulled out she had a smirk on her face and celebrated her small victory with her coworkers behind the counters. I'd suggest changing your closing time to 8:30 because the workers clearly don't want to be there past 9 on a Friday night. Read moreOrdered on the app as I usually do and they called to inform me they were out of the gluten free bread (not a big deal I understand completely) but was informed I had to use the app for a refund or drive to the store with my card. I tried calling the number on the app and it just flat out didn't work so I was forced to drive to the store. The 5 stars here comes from how professionally I was treated by the employees and the manager working. They were more than understanding of the situation and on top of getting me a refund they also comped my next meal.
