My fiancé tried Popeyes for the first time ever a few weeks ago, and he really liked the chicken sandwich & Cajun fries. Tonight on my way home from work, he asked if I would stop and get some food for him. I arrived to the drive thru at about 9:35, 25 minutes prior to closing. Working in the service industry, I don’t think 25 minutes before closing for fast food is rude or unreasonable. I ordered my fiancé a regular chicken sandwich, ensuring they knew to leave the spicy mayo sauce off bc he does not like mayo. I also ordered a 3 piece mild chicken tender mea with mashed potatoes & a large order of Cajun French fries. The guy at the drive thru window was very nice and informed me it would be about 10 minutes for mild chicken tenders. I told him that was no problem. I waited right around 10 minutes and the guy from the drive thru window brought my order out to me (I was waiting out front so I wasn’t blocking the drive thru line). He was very nice when he brought my food to me & informed me he forgot to include the sauce I ordered in my bag and would run back in to grab it. He brought the sauce back out & again was very nice. I thanked him and headed home. Upon arriving home we discovered that my fiancé’s chicken sandwich was covered in mayo (not the spicy mayo sauce for the spicy chicken sandwich, but regular mayonnaise) after I had specified to put no mayonnaise of any kind on the sandwich. We also discovered that our bag of sauces which was supposed to be ketchup, bbq, & ranch only had one ranch, one bbq & about 5 butters. Unfortunately this experience has turned my fiancé away from this specific Popeyes location, as his meal was not very enjoyable. Despite his meal being ruined & his ketchup missing, I am still rating our experience with a 3 because 1) my mild chicken tender meal was good, even though they never offered me a drink & I paid for the full meal & 2) I was pleasantly surprised by how kind the guy working in the drive thru was because the previous experience I had at this location a few weeks ago was quite the opposite, with very miserable...
Read moreTerrible treatment and management. I have been a customer of other Popeyes locations for over 25 years...
I have never experienced the bad management than what I experienced today. My 85 yr old mother lives in Blue Springs and likes me to bring her Popeyes each week for the last 3 years. Despite issues here and there, which were few and far between, I had looked forward to my picking up of her food prior to arrival as SHE loved the chicken and reminded her of growing up in Mississippi.
Today I was mistreated and disrespected by a woman that I assume was the manager for the shift. She was rude and erratic when she worked the drive thru and was very rude as she kept interrupting me while I tried to express my order. I order the SAME simple thing EVERY week for 3 years. A two piece combo. She must have been having a really bad because she was so incompetent and rude that she escalated my calm feedback of how rude it was to interrupt me as I ordered into telling me that my business wasn't appreciated or welcome.
Weird and bizarre experience. Claimed that she didn't know if it was a franchise or a corporate restaurant. And then threatened to call the police if I didn't leave as I tried to get a contact number for the owner or bosses.
If this is how they treat a customer who simply didn't like being treated like a criminal for having the gall to say that he didn't like the rude treatment... A customer of 25 years who literally has been a customer of that particular restaurant EVERY week for the last few years, then they don't really care about the quality of food and service that they provide ANY customer. Makes you wonder about other aspects of the restaurant that affect the quality of the food which has been going down hill steadily I've the last year or so.
I will be giving my business to Chik FIL A or KFC or Raising Cane's instead over the next 3+ years in the future. This place is going downhill and I would NOT recommend honoring them with...
Read moreWe get take out fried chicken MAYBE once a year, if that. I was craving it the other day and it was late (or I would have attempted to make it at home). We decided to just go to Popeyes. First of all, I couldn’t believe the prices! For a 12 piece meal with two large sides an extra gravy, and biscuits, plus one extra large side it was $55!! 😳 Who can afford these prices for chicken? Had I known it would be that much, I would have gone somewhere else, but we had already ordered and were in line, so whatever.
We get home and the “large” mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese were only 2/3 full and the chicken wings had fried feathers. Yes, you read that correctly. There were fried feathers on our chicken. 🤨🤢😵💫
At this point, both my husband and I have lost our appetites and our kids haven’t even seen the food yet, but all heck would break loose if they saw feathers in their food! We just want our money back. We call the number on the receipt and it is out of order. We Google the number and it actually works. Husband relays our issues and states that our chicken has feathers and the lady says, “I packed your order and i know it was fresh!” Hubby is like, ummm that’s not my complaint ma’am….
He drove the food back and got our money back with zero apology.
It was ridic.
