388 Italian Restaurant By Mr Sal — Restaurant in Boca Raton

So disappointing. I had heard mixed things about this restaurant but wanted to try it for myself. We sat at the main bar for dinner, the bartender was new which is completely fine and understandable however the other person you would think would have been experienced but definitely not. I specifically asked if the chicken meatball had cheese inside it. The new girl said I am new let me check, she then asked the other girl who said no. I order it, it comes and first bite I said this has cheese it. The new girl then asks a manager, he said yes for sure. This is a cheese allergy and the fact is I asked so this was very bad. Onto the main course shrimp marinara, asked does this come with anything, they tell us over spinach we say great ..it comes, just a plate of 6 shrimp no spinach. We say something, they seem annoyed but sent over spinach and did not charge us. With this whole escapade not one person came over to us to say I am so sorry or how can we make this better. Place seemed dirty, they were not that busy but the service was truly terrible with very mediocre food. I will never go back and if you try it definitely sit at a table and maybe the experience...

This is their 2nd location (original in Roslyn NY), Matty & his team have provided a Tuscan themed restaurant locally. Bartenders Paul & Dina are guests at my place and as I always like to reciprocate, we ventured out to dine at the bar 5pm on a Saturday night...in a blink, the place was packed & 2 deep at the bar (recommend reservations if you want a table). The place is spotless & beautifully appointed with ample seating inside & A/C outside along with 2 bars & valet parking. We were warmly greeted with complimentary fresh bruschetta and settled in for a great evening. They make a great Aperol spritz & strong chocolate martini and have a bountiful cocktail & wine list. We enjoyed apps of fried calamari w/ house-made marinara, fork tender meatball, Caesar salad. Entree of chicken parmigiana & al dente pomodoro pasta were divine. Dessert inventive delish cannoli. Their sauce is genuine, pasta cooked perfectly, and suggest get 1/2 portions if you’re only 2 as we still had leftovers. This is a game changer in Boca and highly recommend for a lively...

I have eaten here several times and the dishes have been consistently excellent. Full portion entrees easily serve 2 - 3 people and half 1-2 depending on the amount of food you order. Same for pastas and salads are made for 4 easily. Kitchen has been great with getting the orders out in a timely manner and the bar seems to be able to keep up. The prices are very reasonable and it's quickly become a favorite for a lot of locals, like myself. They have had an amazing Ladies Night Special this summer that I highly recommend as I have enjoyed it twice with friends and it is during the week when it is a bit less crowded. I have been seated both inside and outside and while the outside gets a bit more festive, the noise levels are not great in either section. Not much they can do about that but you need to be warned that going in a large group you are not going to hear the person across the table on a busy night. However, that has not deterred us yet and will continue to go as long as the food is as good as...
