Boca Hideaway — Restaurant in Boca Raton

Stopped by for breakfast this morning (Sunday).... waited by the podium for 10 mins and was never approached or acknowledged by either the waitress or bartender. Considering the sole waitress was running around, and was tired of being ignored, I decided to take a seat at the bar - another mistake...The bartender passed me several times attending to other customers and still never acknowledged my presence and pretended not to see me (there was only 6 other people at bar). Finally, after he made the others their drinks, he walks right past me again and goes into the back room. About 5 mins. later he reappears and I wave my arm to get his attention -- still nothing, and he starts ringing up something on the register. Then, unbelievably, another customer walks-in and sits next to another patron whom he appeared to know... the bartender walks over to him and takes his order. That was it -- I got up and left. Not only did I waste 30 mins. of my time, I've never received such unfriendly and poor customer service in ANY establishment I've EVER been to. I'm not sure if they don't want "outsiders" in there, or (more likely) the bartender is a lazy, unpersonable, unprofessional, dirty-looking creep, who doesn't care about the business (however, if the owners do, they should know about this and look for...

After a fabulous meal on Thurs night (even though it took a long time, but they were busy), 7 and a half of us decided to eat breakfast there on Sat morning (Feb 9, 2019) They were swamped and only 1 waiter. The service was ridiculously sub par. Those that asked for water, got empty dirty glasses and waited 20 mins to get a pitcher of water with no ice. Waited 30 mins for 2nd cup of coffee. Orders came wrong to table. Yogurt was supposed to be Strawberry, but came plain. One was supposed to get potatoes, but he didnt complain, so never got them. All toast came out without butter, including rye bread. After another 10 min wait, couldn't find waiter, so one of our party got up and found some butter and jelly. Another person asked for Omlette with no tomatoes, and the server had the audacity to tell her that she said she would pick them off and turned to her husband and said, "didnt she say that " Uh no sir, why would she do such a thing? Seriously, that set the tone for our whole group. One of our party complained and the waiter did comp their two meals, but we would have much more enjoyed a prompt, good serviced, good meal experience. We wont be back for...

Dave & Kim sold out to the rundown motel. Trust this one review. They used to have a HUGE menu from giant breakfast, the best Philly Cheesesteaks from Philly rolls, huge portions of Fresh fish a hundred ways. Great service. NOW, it's a ZERO, DUD. Got rid of EVERYTHING and created a Gordons Food Service menu of about 15 things. A complete joke. Better food at Gas Stations. You WILL be sorry. I know I am. 1 star is 2 too many.

UPDATED: Funny the management/owner only replied to my review. How about replying to the many others that reviewed their disdain for the new menu and service. My review is just that, my review, it's not up for debate. I and dozens of other friends that frequented Dave & Kim's Our Place have walked in and noticed that there are no customers , rude staff and sub-par food. You can gauge a restaurant by their clientele or lack thereof, which you certainly have noticed by looking at your balance sheet since being sold. Now, move on to the other reviewers that...
