We're very disappointed with the quality of the food at Bella Amici's. Let's start with the Garlic Rolls and Pasta Fagiloi. The zuppa had No Beans, No Meat and it came out lukewarm. I had to ask our server to take it back and warm It up. It looked and tasted like it came from a can. The Garlic Rolls were over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I asked for xtra oil or butter and xtra garlic and that didn't happen either. My wife ordered the Salmon that our server recommended that was one of the specials tonight. She asked if it comes out dry or moist and he assured her that is moist and very flavorful. .... The salmon came out "RAW" in the middle. She asked if it could be cooked a bit more so the fish in the center was not "RAW" translucent. It came back dry as a bone and inedible. The server offered to replace her meal with something else but by then she had lost her appetite. He offered her a slice of pizza which she ate to attempt to at Least have enough to satisfy her hunger for the most part. NOTE: The Pizza was good says my wife. So for $25.00 my wife had a bowl of sub standard pasta fagioli a couple bites of garlic rolls and a slice of reheated pizza. The "Pesto Salmon" Entree should have been taken off the bill due to the fact is just was not good and a total disappointment! Then charged for the slice of pizza and that should have been offered without charge to try to at least make it seem they would like another opportunity to gain our repeat business. But a slice, bowl of soup and a few bites of garlic rolls for $25. Not Good Customer relations at all. I ordered Chicken Francese over spaghetti pasta. I was served one single regular sized cutlet over the bed of spaghetti with the francese sauce. Again this entree was $25 as well. Portion size on this entree was VERY DISAPPOINTING. The white wine and lemon butter sauce was not bad but not enough. The extra wine & lemon butter sauce we asked for was very salty and lemony but had no taste of the "wine" that makes the sauce pop. I am not the guy to leave negative reviews but this one is warranted. In all fairness the gentleman that served us offered a desert on the house which my wife didn't accept because that is not dinner. He offered me gelato and I accepted and that was about a tablespoon size portion. I have to say, the gelato was very good. Our server never offered to refill my Coke, I had to ask for a refill. So all in all this was a "REAL BUST". We have dined at several Italian eateries locally and all but Bella Amici have impressed us regarding quality of the food, portions and customer centric attitude. This Owner and staff should dine at other privately owned Italian eateries locally and get a lesson in customer satisfaction efforts, acceptable portions for the price and quality of food. We are not looking for anything for nothing and gladly pay premium prices for premium quality food and appropriate portions. Not canned soup and poorly prepared Entrees. We are good and faithful foodies and you guys totally screwed the pooch on this opportunity for a repeat customer or great word of mouth advertising. We'll likely not be back for a sit down meal at this establishment. Side note: the staff were all friendly and pleasant. They just didn't handle things the way they should have been handled. Amici's on Hillsboro, Zuccarelli on Federal in pompano and Thick and Thin in west Boca just to. Name a few could school you guys on several levels. To the management and owner of Bella Amici Pizzeria & Restaurant I truly hope you read this and can glean some insight on Customer Satisfaction and conflict resolution from a food service survival and success path going forward. Good luck to you...
Read moreI have been to this place about a 1/2 a dozen times now with family and friends and really began to enjoy it, until my most recent visit. I showed up with my girlfriend, her sister and a friend from out of town for their twilight dinner the other night to celebrate. They were a little more crowded than usual, but not packed, and were missing one of their regular waiters, Steve. 3 of the 4 entrees came to the table in a timely fashion and we then waited a solid half hour for mine to arrive. Of course, the other members of my party chose to wait for my food to show up such that their food was cold by the time my plate showed up and our 'party' was now over, as we were all upset. And while the food showing up late was upsetting, that was not what really got me upset. To add insult to injury, when I raised my hands in the air to the owner Mike, in a gesture inquiring where my food was before it arrived, he replied, nastily "...are you praying to God?" to which I replied "no, only praying for my food". Even the best of places has a bad night, and I am not one to criticize unnecessarily, but being sarcastic towards me when it was Mike and his staff who had failed me and my guests was inexcusable. Mike, we have been to your place many times and had nice conversations with you which is why your nasty attitude towards us was unexpected and hurtful. Sending your lovely wife, who we had never met, over in your place in an attempt to smooth things over was insufficient and not what a man does. Our relationship was with you! You should have apologized and it would have been accepted. Taking my plate off the check was nice, but not what was called for. I am sorry to say that, despite the decent food, we will...
Read moreHonestly I grew up in Boca Raton when casa was once tomassos pizza . 10 years ago the three best pizzas id say was casa, Brooklyn boys and dominics around Boca area.. I ordered a pizza after ranting over how awesome Casa Italian is to my girlfriend, when Greg, and Craig were in charge and a team of Jack, Paul and Jeremy worked there.. needless too say the quality has gone too dirt I ordered last night around 9pm a veggie pizza with half pepperoni Well done(crispy crust) it was terrible the pizza was sliced but toppings falling everywhere bread was soggy and pizza surely undercooked (the complete opposite of what I ordered) and the easiest of things an order of garlic knots with extra garlic came dry, lacked any garlic let alone EXTRA.. they truly ruined my night and experience of staying home ordering in. I will NEVER go back until the manager puts out what was once a good pizza .. they overstretch small pizza dough to cover the xlarges also, it's a cheap scam and way overpriced.. I called in to allow the manager to know and possibly fix the problem; to no avail clearly! this is NOT why ppl go to Mom and pop pizza places.. just awful .. I'd give no stars if possible , I wouldn't be interested if I was paid to eat the filth they serve there. Will even give rotellis or the old school Sals a knotch over what I wasted my money on with the terrible serving I had. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will absolutely make people aware of the lack of quality I received .. 0/5 stars in taste and 0/5 for genuine care for...
