Galini Greek Restaurant is an absolute gem that transports you to the sun-soaked shores of Greece with its authentic flavors and warm hospitality. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we knew we were in for a memorable dining experience.
Our delightful waitress, Christina, played a significant role in making our evening truly exceptional. Her attentive and friendly demeanor elevated the already fantastic service to another level. She guided us through the menu, sharing her expertise and passion for Greek cuisine, making our choices all the more enjoyable.
To start our culinary adventure, we opted for the grilled octopus, a tantalizing appetizer bursting with Mediterranean flavors. The tender grilled meats, accompanied by a flavorful assortment of dips and pita bread, left us craving for more. It was the perfect introduction to the rich and vibrant cuisine of Greece.
For our main courses, my husband indulged in the Seafood Paella, a dish that showcased Galini's mastery in blending fresh seafood with aromatic spices. The paella was a symphony of flavors, with succulent shrimp, tender mussels, and perfectly cooked orzo, infused with greek species and other delightful seasonings. It was a seafood lover's dream come true, leaving my husband raving about it long after the last bite.
As for me, I had the Bronzini, a beautifully prepared fish dish that exemplified the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity. The bronzed skin gave way to tender, flaky fillets, perfectly complemented by a delicate lemon olive oil sauce. The dish was a true masterpiece, showcasing Galini's dedication to bringing out the best in Greek cuisine.
To cap off our exquisite meal, we couldn't resist indulging in the Baklava for dessert. Each layer of flaky pastry was generously filled with crushed nuts, honey, and fragrant spices, creating a symphony of textures and flavors that danced on our palates. It was a sweet finale that left us blissfully content.

Read moreGalini, 7491 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton… It’s Saturday 6pm, we’re in an unremarkable strip plaza (ample free parking) where Galini is shining through with its outdoor festive lights, greenery & faint Greek music, reminding me of Yiayia’s patio in Patras. White themed, marbled floors, muraled walls and fresh fish display case invites you in to a warm greeting, where the mother oversees the family restaurant from behind the bar (great vantage point), father is in the heart & soul kitchen as chef and their adult children & team tend to guests as if they’re relatives. Took us a minute to take it all in and peruse the menu of vast favorites, which for us is a sign we’re in for something special. We wanted it all so decided on mezes…saganaki (mouthwatering, flambéed cheese table side), keftedes (hearty meatballs of mint garlic, onion, parsley, oregano) with tzatziki, grilled octopus (fork tender, luscious, chalk full of capers, red onion in evoo/lemon juice) horiatiki salad (no lettuce, bright & light) adding chicken breast souvlaki on the side (juicy & tasty minus the stick). We both agreed ALL the dishes were plenty for two, delicious but a tad under seasoned…understandable given their mature clientele and easily remedied with table salt. Our evening ended with Belly dancers, a welcome surprise livening up the place & patrons. Took home our favorite desserts for later (galaktoboureko & bougatsa) as we were satisfied and really wanted to savour every bite. We live in a North Broward, we’re Greek, we’re in the biz, we’re ethnic home cooks, so this spot checked all our boxes…close, clean, delicious, family owned & operated and affordable for those night we need to be spoiled. (Our total check for 4 glasses of wine, 5 starters & 2 desserts $135...
Read moreUnprofessional ownership. I went in for lunch today as I saw they had a good rating. I arrived shortly after they opened. There was one person waiting for takeout, and no one else. I ordered my meal and while waiting at the table, a workman came in, walked through the restaurant with a Shop Vac, for I presumed to be, a problem. As being the sole patron, I had to endure this person fixing whatever problem that occurred in the restaurant with the vacuum noise. My food arrived to the table, as I started to eat, I noticed the waitress mopping up the floors with a towel from what turned out to be a leak. I never saw her wash her hands, not once. I wondered if my food had been delivered to the table with dirty hands. I put my fork down and it took a while for her to come to my table ( I know for a fact her hands were not washed at this point). I told her I could not eat the food having witnessed this. I wanted to leave and she walked off. She said she had to ask her manager. The man came out (I presume the owner/chef). He did not address me. He did not look at me as he walked to the register to remove the meal. He did not offer an apology, nor did the waitress. I simple left and will not be returning.
If a restaurant is having a mechanical issue that requires workman to do repairs, there is always a back door that they should use instead of traipsing through the restaurant with customer(s). That man did wash HIS hands, by the way. My second suggestion is that since your establishment had just opened, and you knew you had something that needed repair, then perhaps that you should have delayed opening the door for service while you attend to...
