I had my haircut and blow dry with Alex yesterday, and while the salon itself is absolutely stunning, my experience with him was unfortunately not as positive. From the start, I was greeted well, but things quickly took a turn when Alex began making snarky, passive-aggressive comments. It started when I mentioned considering bangs again, I was given a lecture on how high maintenance they are, even though I told him I’d had them before, even showing him pictures of my most recent haircut. It felt like a strange response to a simple inquiry.

I also asked him to show me visually how much two inches off would look, and he responded in a way that felt dismissive, implying that as an American, I should already know what two inches looks like. I simply wanted a visual aid, which I think is a reasonable request. Later, when I asked my friend for her opinion, Alex sarcastically asked if I needed her permission. It came off as more awkward than funny, and the comments kept coming, making the whole experience uncomfortable.

By the end, I felt so discouraged by the conversation that I barely spoke unless my friend engaged me. The final straw was when Alex told me not to touch my hair too much after the blow dry and made a comment about not feeling so "unique" for doing so. It was uncalled for and really left a bad taste in my mouth.

While the haircut itself was great, I won’t be returning. The treatment I received didn’t match the caliber of the salon, and I truly hope Alex doesn’t treat all his clients this way. A good hairstylist should make you feel beautiful and confident, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I’d recommend he work on his communication skills...

AMAZING!!!!! 6 weeks ago I went for a color consultation with Stella after another salon ruined my hair. I met with Stella and the owner Inna and I booked my appointment for 6 weeks later to give my hair a break. I went to the salon today and after my hair being destroyed at another salon I was honestly having so much anxiety but as soon as I sat in Stella's chair I felt at ease. We went over again what I wanted and what the goal was for our first session and Stella was very realistic as she wanted to maintain the integrity of my hair. Well she totally exceeded my expectations with the color. For reference I'm a natural brunette to blonde and today's session was a color correction. I came to her with stripey horrible highlights and 8 different hair colors and she was able to fix it and the stripey roots are gone!!! She was meticulous, monitored my hair during the entire procress and pretty much didn't leave my side as she wanted to make sure my hair would come out perfect. Everyone in the salon is so nice and personable. As soon as you walk in they are warm and welcoming and offer you a coffee or cappuccino( which us delicious!) And check in with you throughout to ask if you need anything. Stella is an absoloute GEM!!! The salon itself is glamorous abd beautiful✨️✨️✨️✨️ Hairmess is by far the BEST SALON in BOCA!!!! Thank-you Alex for the most amazing experience and the most beautiful haircut and blow out!! Super relaxed atmosphere I felt immediately at ease with Alex. I have very thick long hair and Alex gave me the best haircut I ever had!!! His superior cutting skills were immediately evident the minute he began cutting. He cut my hair with extreme precision and I left the salon with exactly what I wanted. His professionalism and kindness were above and beyond. I can’t wait to go back for my color!! Just went for my color yesterday with Alex for the first time. Now I know why Alex’s clients in West Hollywood wait for him!!! He’s movie star worthy. I have been out and about this morning and have been stopped several times by strangers asking “where did you get your hair done?” The blonde is absolutely stunning. I have been getting highlights for 20 years! Never have I turned heads like I did today!! I can’t explain how gorgeous it looks!! Alex has me as a customer for life!! Wow wow wow !!!
