I know Iām generally posting serious stuff on here so I thought I would branch out a bit and grace you with my review of a vegan donut that changed my life. Now first, donāt take what I say lightly. Iām not one whoās always blah blahing on about āthis is THE BEST (insert sub par food )Iāve ever hadā. Iām a tough critic, my palate is exquisite from years of energy drink and protein bar consumption. Now I know what youāre thinking. VEGAN!? I too was thinking that. And I do not want you to put any thought into the fact that at 2 pm in the afternoon I had only consumed about 500 calories for the whole day and fried my brain at the beach for 2 glorious hours. I walk into this place with my āfree spiritā shirt and jeans holier than the Bible on, knowing I would be accepted immediately into this vegan culture. I am browsing all the baked goods thinking nothing will taste quite how I want or expect so I should just free for all it. I have always been a lover of chocolate and donuts and thought āokay well here we goā. I ask her how the chocolate glazed is, she replies with āmost of our customers favor that oneā. Iām thinking MHMMMM OKAY. I get it anyways. Now, I planned to go back to my car because this bakery could not supply us with any vegan tables and I had just paid 5 dollars at a meter and had 20 hours to use it up. I am finally settled and ready to try my chocolate glazed donut. Itās heavy, like abnormally heavy. I lift it with both hands. My ac is blasting and shooting crumbs of this monster into the back seat. I unhinge my jaw just to take one bite. AND. I saw it, my soul left my body and I watch my aura turn into a chocolate glaze. I am chewing this moist, supple delicacy of a vegan chocolate donut, unable to fathom how God graced the earth with this manna from heaven. It was like a salvation story, Saul turned to paul, and I realized I must tell the world of this gift I have been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a custom cake for my birthday party. I specifically asked for it to be white base with fuschia colored hearts on the top of it. I asked it they had edible glitter or sparkles to dust the hearts with. I said if not, I will get it and do that part myself. It was supposed to be the dunkaroo flavor. The girl asked if I wanted graham crackers on it. I said No. She asked me if I had seen the dunkaroo cake. Again, I reiterated what I wanted and said I wanted a custom cake. She said she would discuss with the baker and get back to me. She called back to confirm that they could do it and the extra fees involved for adding hearts. When the cake went to be picked up it was NOT custom at all. It was stacked with graham crackers and blue frosting dripping from the sides. It had a brown frosting border around the top and was plastered with pink hearts and blue too dripping from the sides. Since I was on my way back from out of town, I asked the person picking it up to leave it and I would call to find out what happened to my custom cake. I was told they do not do refunds and that I could have a store credit. I decided to drive to the location to speak to a manager to see if they would make it right since now I was without a cake for my party. The manager said she had spoken to me on the phone and that I agreed to a store credit to do a custom cake a week from now!!!Not once did I get an apology for the miscommunication. She said there is nothing she could do and that the girl that took my order said I didnāt order a custom cake after we had two calls to review that they could do what I requested. No Happy Birthday, no apology for a miscommunication NOT EVEN AN ATTEMPT to make it right. I will never do business with this venue again. Turns out they threw on a couple hearts to a standard...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2022 REVIEW.. funny that I was about to write another review, but there is one already in place below. I apparently forgot about my horrific experience but I yet experienced it again and even worse this time. THANKFULLY, I FOUND ANOTHER BAKERY WHOSE SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL, LOCATED NEARBY and cakes are scrumptious!
Parlour might bake well, but ther service is HORRID over the phone. In person service can also use the Chic fil A training Handbook on how to run a customer satisfactory business!
2021.. Parlour vegan has been the one place I was able to go to for my vegan cakes especially. I have had the worst experience experience on October October 16th 2021. I called this place twice and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes both times and not once did someone return to ask what is it that I needed..
I then drove to this location in Boca and I asked them, why is it that I wasn't hold for over 10 minutes on the 2 calls that I made I made and their response was "we are supposed to attend to the customers in front of us before anyone on the phone." I understand what that means but there is a point where when you have a customer on hold and you have no idea what the call is in regard to, so you should then ask how is it that I can help you and can we give you a call back as we are currently busy with customers. And our if the approximately (4) workers that was there, not ONE was even apologetic; imagine that!!!
For me, all it takes is one bad experience to be turned off from something that I actually enjoy. This location will not ever see me again I would rather have a private company custom make what I need and pay more for it than to deal with such poor...
