Last night was our seventh visit to Casimir Bistro over a period of a few years. My husband wanted "Monday night mussels special" with a serving of four small fresh bowls of mussels with different sauces. See their website for details. Each hot, fresh mussels bowl served one at a time with the best fries anyway. The fries are shoestring variety, hot, firm and crisp. I ate their gourmet price fix menu of three dishes for $31.50. Also a large bowl of mussels in one chosen sauce. Our appetizers were gravlox (specially seasoned and aged salmon slices from a traditional Scandinavian recipe). Second appetizer was almond crusted goat cheese salad. Both delicious. Desserts were peach melba on the menu for many years as well as creme brulee. Our son ate chicken fingers which he ate both without hesitation. Casimir is one of the best restaurants in South Florida with incredible high quality and very reasonably priced if you don't request expensive wines. Family owned. BTW, I wouldn't believe one or two negative reviews. One of the owner's and manager is always available to make sure your meal is as required and they'll jump to make sure you're satisfied. UPDATE NEW VISIT: With so many restaurants in S. Florida, Casimir is the one we dine at the most. Again, all dishes were excellent. House salad, salmon gravlaks, foie-gras, sea scallops, roast duck (crisp skin, no fat, not dry, just great) and the desserts peach melba, sorbert of raspberry/mango or crème brulee. See my attached photos. Casimir is a husband and wife team (no corporate meals here) consistently serving outstanding dishes for 10 years. Note they offer a 3 course meal ranging from $35-$39. Service was good too. We'll be back soon.

Excellent quaint bistro style French restaurant in the heart of old Boca. We found this place entirely by searching for French Onion soup in the area. We walked in around 2pm on a Weds and were promptly greeted and sat at a nice table inside. The interior is very clean and has old world French Bistro feel. The menu is relatively small and to the point which I personally prefer. We ordered French Onion Soup, Provence sandwich, Short Rib Rigatoni, and a Creme Brule. The French Onion soup was undoubtedly the best I've ever had. Prepared perfectly with an amazingly flavorful broth without being too salty. The huge helping of cheese was a mix of Swiss and Gruyere and absolutely perfect. Even the crouton in the soup was perfect. Amazing soup 10/10. The bread basket was delicious. Very simple and tasty. The Provence sandwich was crispy, saucy, flavorful, and amazing. The French fries that accompanied it were super crispy and delicious. The Short Rib Rigatoni is a LOT of different flavors going on at once. A perfect portion of short rib and Rigatoni with peas, tomatoes, and a deeply flavorful sauce. This bold dish combines a lot of various herbs together and makes quite a statement. Very highly recommend if you like traditional French flavored cuisine. Finally, the Creme Brule was served perfectly. They flambaed the sugar on top to order, leaving a hot sugar crust the way it was intended to be. Absolutely incredible. Best Creme Brule I've ever had. Overall, this place came in at about $100 for 2 people. Expensive-ish, but worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give it a try if you're in the area and want good French food!

A small intimate dining experience they now have summer specials on Thursday lobster was 1.5 lb live lobsters two sides fries spinach for a steal. We arrived for a 5:30 appointment restaurant was empty when we left about one and half hour later there were about one other couple sitting outside. They put up plastic enclosure to keep out the rain To be honest they had predicted a summer squall which is why we made an 5:30 appointment. The wine list is fantastic and the service was special. If I had known that the wine was heavily discounted I would have tried a vintage one. But my $6 (with the early bird price was as smooth a Merlot as I had ever had The french onion soup smothered with smooth bubbly cheese Was my first course which ironically I could not get in a two star Michelin Paris restaurant ( the chef came out and said if i wanted onion soup I should go to les halls my quest started with escargot with plenty of garlic sauce. For my main course). I had the l i duck with brown potatoes and mushroom I as good as I ever had. If we return to the Casimir bistro we return on Tuesday when crispy duck is 👌$10 discount

My wife and I found this gem on a Saturday night, we arrived late close to close but was still treated to a great time, with great food and service we spoke with John who was great you could tell he loves the food he served and made us want to come back for lobster night as he recommended, and John wasnt wrong the lobster was tops. It was prepared beautifully, no mess and all meat, my wifes duck was to die for, this time we sat inside and the place was charming, clean, and made you feel comfortable. Our server must of been new or maybe the language barrier had some effects but luckily our new friend John was working and quickly corrected the issues without it even being a issue, the laughs and stories he told made up for the 5 min we had to wait due to the wrong item being put in, and the desert that he personally made for us the peach melba was a thing of beauty it sored high and its vibrant colors were a head turner as he walked it through the dinning room for us, this place is that spot you go to when you want to unwind from a long day and be comfortable, the place you go get great homemade food from at good prices and not having to be in your formal wear, and its the place you go to have service where people like John remembered our name, the fact we were down here for our daughter, and where they make you feel part of the family, I would of never belived a gem like this was under new ownership because it was ran like a seasoned restaurant, with employees that loved being there, and food that makes you come back, the only regret is we didn't get to meet the new owner that he spoke so highly of it seems she was helping other staff, but we will definitely be back everytime we cone to watch our daughter play snd to see our new friends and eat our new favorite food, at our go to spot in Boca Raton....Casmiri French Bistro...I highly recommend going for a bite, ask for John, get the duck, and leave room for the Melba and I guarantee the night will be a 10 out of 10...thank you Casimir for the two great memories...see...

So it was a ladies night and the four of us fabulous lady's went to Casimir French bistro in Boca Raton, a laid back make you feel at home restaurant with excellent service, and as of lately much cleaner( they even updated their bathroom after 50 years) we sat in the corner booth as I love it gives the right amout of privacy, it was a slow night but as always the food was amazing, 3 of us had the duck which is the best in boca the service was honestly a little spotty he was a young kid think his name was denny well he messed up the order and tryed to say we did, it happens the chef made sure we didn't even have to wait because of it which however he did it we didn't. The over ambiance was a little like a funeral home untill chef John came out to bring us our entree and made our night with a great smile and a amazing sense of humor, he turned a somewhat dull night i to the ladies night we came out for. We were happy to find out the lively changes came from new ownership, and for the first time of the 30 times eating at casimir I not only got to interact with the chef ( they should have John come out to the front every night he was great with every table in our section, had all three tables talking, laughing, and the place exciting) and didn't get to meet the owner( she was to busy with our server) but saw the owner, there, working, part of...which when you take the upgrades already done, the plans for a bar, and bringing back specials we love ( crepes, feilt tartar, and Coco van) it tells me Casimir is here to stay for another 20 years, cant wait to get back in September and meet the owner, see the chef again, and get my duck...you can tell a lot about a place that stays open to when all us locals go on vacation and is still here...Casimir best french in all palm...
