Yokohama Sushi East - Federal HWY — Restaurant in Boca Raton

If you are into quality sushi and welcoming customer service, then this place IS NOT FOR YOU. Horrible customer service, waitress was rude from the start. Had a couple friends that did not eat (aren't big fans of sushi, but wanted to come out to dinner with us regardless) and the waitress was extremely rude and refused to serve them WATER. This restaurant could barely fit a party of 6 comfortably. Aside from the horrendous customer service, the sushi tasted as if it were caught from the local neighborhood lake. Not fresh at all, but hey, what could you expect from a place serving $1.75 sushi. Lastly, I had to request this waitress two to three times to bring the check and still had to wait roughly around 15 mins before I got it (there was only my group and another group of maybe 5 people in the restaurant at this time). Keep in mind, after being treated like scum, THERE WAS AN 18% TIP INCLUDED IN THE BILL. I am not one to cheap out on tipping servers at restaurants, but this lady did not deserve 18% tip. Do not eat here! We've given this place a chance a few times, ignored the sogginess of sushi rolls and hardness of the rice but as it was relatively inexpensive didn't complain. This time we ordered Ikura sushi, basically rice and salmon eggs and they sold it to us rotten! The slime went through all 4 rolls to the bottom of the rice and just super sticky and smells totally Off! Have I mentioned how toxic and dangerous it is to consume this! I am appalled-we just called to let them know and find a solution- I'd be happy with my money back at least of that part of the order- drive it back and show them, and just not go here again but they're giving attitude on the phone and chose not to admit their error, instead they're trying to convince us otherwise and try to give my a lesson on the type of sushi it is- which is in relevant! It's bad-cannot eat it, and don't want it. Ruined my dinner. We're driving it back to them as I write this and hope they are ashamed of what they serve. I'll try to post pics here of our order. It’s very unfortunate that i have to write this because their food is pretty good but this place is a scam. for 1 they charge 80 cents per sauce and only full the plastic container about 1/4 of the way. their food itself is also very overpriced. The service is absolutely horrific. the 2 Ladies who work the front look like they don’t want to be there and every-time i’ve gone i’ve received an attitude from both of them. me and my bestfriend came here for dinner around 10 pm tonight just the two of us and they decided to randomly add a 20% gratuity to our bills. i have NEVER seen something like this unless it’s for a table over 5 people.
