The service was absolutely terrible. For starters the cashier had the gen-z stare😑 as everyone calls it now, very dull/lack of expressions. We ordered at 7pm and it took 45 mins for us to get our food. As we were waiting we witnessed a lot of mess ups. Not only did they take forever in bringing our food out but the gave others their food before us and they came in 15 mins after us. Mind you, we asked for our food prior to this and the owner said ours was next, yet these people were actually the “next” ones. And they ordered way after us, make it make sense. When I saw her hand them their food she said yours are coming and I said yea but they came in way after us and they already got their food before us and she said we are waiting for the boneless. I was already frustrated I did not want to even argue with that response. Our food comes out finally and the owner hands us our food and said says here you go sorry and her demeanor changed. She was all serious and annoyed. I should be annoyed. So unprofessional from the owner/manager. We weren’t the only ones who had to ask the status of our order. While we waited we noticed the dull eyed cashier hand a table someone else’s order. And it happened to be the table next to them. The cashier comes to them and asks them what they ordered again and one of the guys told her loud yea that was our order that you just gave them. The food was not even good and not worth all that trouble. The food was not even hot, so the mango sirracha sauce had a weird mushy thickness to it. And for the icing on the cake they messed of our order and gave us 2 orders of lemon peppers wings instead of Asian Cajun. When asked which is which the owner said that’s garlic Parmesan. 🤦🏻♀️mind you I did not even order that. Such a completely failure. The location is so small so if you get a table consider yourself lucky and make sure to bring napkins because they do not give you any with your order. Which makes no sense if this is a wing place so obviously one gets their hands very dirty. There is only one paper towel roll for everyone at the restaurant next to the soda machine. do not come to this location at all. First and last time...
Read moreWe’ve always loved Fry N’ Wings! If you don’t know what Fry n’ Wings are, they are wings with an Asian fusion twist. Owned by Filipino owners, they try to incorporate Filipino flavors like Sisig and Salted Egg. Even having Kare Kare at one point! Been to the one at St Charles & Bloomingdale and I’m so happy they’ve opened a 3rd location. This one is special because one of our friends, Sheryl, is one of the owners of this location! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed not only by her but her kind team. There were 6 of us so we ordered the 75 pieces family meal that came with 5 flavors, 6 dips, 3 large fries and veggie sticks. So we spent about $20 per person which isn’t bad for about 12 wings per person. For the flavors, we tried Honey Thai Chili, Snow Cheese, Sisig, Salted Egg, and Asian Cajun. When the food came out, they all looked so crispy, fresh and delicious! The wings were also good sizes (not too big and not too small). Also, while we ate, Sheryl and her team went around the restaurant making sure everyone were enjoying their meals and if we needed anything which was very kind and hospitable of them. They talked to us and we found out her whole family worked very hard on bringing this restaurant together. From her entire family working hard at the cashier and kitchen to her grandma working on the labels, you can tell this was all done with love and care. Would recommend anyone who hasn’t been to go try it out because it’s...
Read moreIn a word... masarap! I have been to Fry N' Wings three times since they opened. Each time I was greeted by the friendliest of staff who offered help in placing my order either on the kiosk or in person at the counter.
As everything is made to order, there may be a bit of a wait, but the wait is definitely worth it. Each time my food has arrived hot and fresh. The bone-in wings are not skimpy in the least like some other places. When you bite into one, you are greeted by a most crispy, crunchy breading with hot and juicy chicken underneath. And no matter what flavor you choose, the wings will be well covered with it.
I have tried Parmesan Garlic, Honey Thai Chili, Salted Egg, Buldak + Gochujang, Lemon Pepper and Asian Cajun. While all are very tasty, it is the Salted Egg flavor that I will order every time. It's a flavor that you won't find in most places and is soooo good!
And the fries? They are hot and crispy and can be ordered with a flavor. I tried the Snow Cheese and the fries were covered such that it looked like each fry was individually tossed in the flavoring. The Snow Cheese had a hint of sweetness to me - so yummy! I can hardly wait to try all the flavors.
So if you are looking for place with great wings, friendly service, and a feeling that they really care about you the customer, head to Fry N' Wings. Maybe I'll...
